      My mortgage was recently transitioned to Valon and the move was amazing. Establishing my on-line account was easy with good instructions and it worked the first time. Best of all, they moved my auto-pay account without me having to do anything. I didn't have to stop it at one place and reestablish it at the new place. I never had that happen before. My previous mortgage company was hard to work with and their customer service was rude. This was a great move.

      Working with Valon has been amazing. They were super efficient in streamlining this entire experience. The website was easy to register on and immediately provided me with all of the information that I needed. I was able to set up autopay and haven't had to worry about anything since (escrow, insurance, etc). Truly looking forward to how they transform this industry!

      I ended up with Valon by assignment of my mortgage. If I had an immediate choice in my selection, Valon would not be my mortgage lender of choice. First of all, navigating their website to pay your mortgage is ridiculous. You risk paying a late penalty when you pay too close to their late penalty date, as future payment dates will not allow you pay on the 15th, sometimes dates will be blocked off until the 18th, depending if the 15th falls on a Friday. Dates will be blocked off, which will require the payer to pay past the 15th of the month and still incur a late payment. Why they have their payment portal set up like this? Beats me. Location to log in to your account is not easy to find. The "Dashboard" button on the top right corner (when using a PC) sometimes does not load, so you cannot log in. If you need help, the chat "Bot" will send you articles to self-help, but offers no hyperlinks to bypass the non-sense, especially when the payer is not familiar with their website or system. If you go to "HELP" it will lead you to a page of articles to self-help. No hyperlinks here either. No live person, but a "Bot" will give you more articles to read through then ask if the article was helpful. Looking forward to mortgage shopping to get out of this mortgage with Valon. Cheers!

      My loan was sold to this company within a month of purchasing our new house. This is the WORST mortgage company EVER! I was told that my payment was never received despite me providing proof that they cashed the check. And, for months now, I'm receiving letters from there insurance department telling me I don't have enough coverage but I DO!!! When I call there insurance department, I get disconnected, I get rude service, and no one knows what they are doing. It's HORRIBLE!!!

      I would not recommend this lender to an enemy. Very unorganized and incapable of making my home owners insurance payment on time. Recieved a cancelation notice from my insurance company because Valon failed to make payment from my escrow account. After multiple calls I was told they changed their internal process on may 1st and a different department now issues payments. During the transition some payments were not fully completed and lost in the transition of the process change. This is a reflection of the poor leadership and oversight of the process change. Payment still not made 5 weeks later but was finally provided a tracking number. BBB needs to have this lender on their radar! Update: Payment has still not been received for homeowners insurance and my policy will be canceled today. I am having to pay out of pocket since Valon has continued to fail in completing payment. Major problems with this lenders ability to operate a healthy core business. Further investigation into their sustainability is needed as they are putting borrowers at risk. This type of breach of contract shows their competence level. While they speak highly of customer service it's all words... actions prove they are a struggling lendor.

      The transfer to Valon was smooth as can be expected. I had my fingers crossed because I was making a change to my mortgage payment. All went well. Customer service is wonderful. A huge improvement over my last mortgage company.

      Spent 2 1/2 hours on phone with valon mortgage today. They used our escrow account that’s only for flood insurance and paid our home owners policy instead. I already paid the home owners insurance. They kept saying I needed to speak to a different department, escrow, customer service and insurance tracking center. I spoke with all of the departments! There is no communication. I finally got them to agree to stop the payment on the check they sent in error and will be checking my escrow balance every day to make sure the money is returned worst experience evert!

      So far, so good. This is our second servicing transfer this year, but unlike the first one (to NewRez, a disaster of a company that unfortunately bought the local company we'd borrowed from) Valon handled the transfer seamlessly and, on our part, effortlessly. We didn't have to provide anything to them about insurance or escrow or whatnot, and we didn't even have to set up a new autopay on their site - they just transferred all the information from the old servicer and set it up for us and there were zero hitches. I'm loath to recommend mortgage entities these days (they treat our biggest lifetime investments like baseball cards to be sold off and traded on a whim and I despise it) but so far Valon is walking its "We're not like other mortgage companies" talk. They flaunt their abandonment of antiquated industry practices as an industry disruption, and so far it feels like they're living up to that expectation. Keep it up, Valon...

      This is the worst mortgage company I've ever dealt with. They have messed up things more times than I can count. I only have a mortgage with them because they bought my mortgage. I wouldn't work with them voluntarily if they were the last company on earth. Their genius employees just paid my house insurance twice and drained my escrow account.
