      I worked with Elizabeth this week to obtain a loan. Absolutely the best experience ever! She honestly went above and beyond her required duties to assist me. Just one example, she emailed me phone numbers when she could have very easily told me to look up the numbers myself. She is very professional, extremely respectful and courteous. I will recommend her to anyone!!

      Where to begin…. It frequently takes ~20 minutes to get someone on the phone. Their website is the opposite of user friendly. You can’t set up automatic payments on a loan through their website, yet they have a new policy to charge $13 to pay them over the phone with a debit/credit card. I guess this credit union is the only one in 2022 that you still have to pay through the mail.

      Drive thur is the worst. All other banks have the inside open; however, their insides are closed again. The wait in the drive thur is always an hours or more. They in to open all the lines! It is getting old to have to always wait this long no matter what time I go. I have been banking here for years and it is getting to the point I’m going to end up going somewhere else!

      I opened an account in August with ValleyStar online and got my card in the mail. I setup a pin with it and it worked for the first couple of days, then it started declining at random places, Wouldn't work at Wendy's, quick stop, etc. I called over 10+ times and they said they couldn't see where it was declining and to go to one of the places that it declines at and call them back immediately so they could see. I did just that and they still couldn't see where it was declining, and they said everything was setup fine. I couldn't even make ANY online purchases, and they couldn't even see where it was declining there either. They said they were going to reach out to someone and then call me back, never did. So I decided that same day to just go and close my account. I went to Wells Fargo, and no problems with them! I DO NOT recommend this bank. Card wouldn't even work half the time, even after I got a replacement too. Exact same thing was happening.

      I have been banking at the Danville branch for about 3 years now. And it's a great bank I don't regret it at all .And just because one of the workers there is one reason why I continue to stay here she is a great worker she is very helpful she responds to all my questions If I don't understand she still Explains herself in a better way. She is genuine person she have went above and beyond to help us out of her way she is a great worker and yall are blessed 🙌too have her shot out to Maria Vasquez for your great hard work I appreciate your hard work 💪 Keep it up girl .

      Having to write this on a separate email account so that this will be heard. I have been with this Credit union for going on four years, and I just received another charge on my account for a 35 dollar withdrawal fee when I HAVE THE MONEY IN MY ACCOUNT. I double check my account before making any purchases, and by simply purchasing dinner last night, withdrew 20 dollars from the account. After said purchase, I had a remaining 15.99 in the account. Then I wake up to..no money in my account. This is because I received that 35 dollar withdrawal of ACH fees, again. I have dealt with this issue time and time again, and I have specifically requested to have the overdraft turned off. If I don't have anything pending on my account, then do NOT charge me an overdraft fee, when I have the money. I work two jobs to wake up to no money, and still owing the bank almost 20 dollars...

      0 Stars if possible. Imagine going to the grocery store to feed you and your babies, But you forgot to realize ValleyStar pulled anywhere from (-$35 - -$105) in account fees our of your account, allowing transactions to occur out of the account holders control. Thank you for making it impossible now to even eat even tho I had the money prior. This has to be the hardest year of my life and this just tops the cake. Will be switching banks as soon as i can, and will never EVER use this bank again. Piedmont Credit Union was NEVER like this.

      Edit - Thankfully my issue below was taken care of after being sent to management. I really appreciated the help and hope in the future a separate number for account services like card services would be readily available. Thank you Valleystar for your help with this issue. Old - There is almost no way to get in contact with the local branch and their phone line which Teller24 won't even work with my account number and pin which makes things even more difficult because the phone number will either go to Teller 24 or Card Services "card services can only help with you anything associated with the Visa card and not your account I've been told". The last time I had called about fee issues the woman I spoke with was supposed to set up the money coming from my savings account if the account would not have enough money and she never did and was also very rude the last time. Now because customer service didn't set up for my account to withdraw money from savings the last time I called I now multiple charges from the same place because every time it tried to take money it got declined and tried again the following day. Originally when I set up the account the money was supposed to come from my savings account it there wasn't enough account balance as well "So that's 2 employees who couldn't be bothered to set up something they had discussed they were going to" Because of the mistake of these two employees "woman who set up my account and woman from customer service from 2 months ago" I now have had 4 $35 which happened over 3 days with no way for me to contact the bank to temporarily freeze the account or anything because I lack the ability to get in contact with the bank or account services. All of this shows a clear lack of customer service and I am very disappointed.
