  Never get a loan with these people. Had autopay running for years and suddenly it decides to stop without us knowing. No call. Just a letter saying my credit score is dinged and a late payment. Lost 100+ on my credit score for their mistake. Refinancing asap. Terrible terrible terrible company.

  Unfortunately, I had the same experience. The bank with out my request decides to email my loan statements instead of mailing them. Unfortunately they have my email address incorrect. Then one day I get a telephone call regarding a missed payment. I immediately make the missed payment but the bank refuses to waive the $100 late fee even though they changed the billing notification on their own with out my request and emailed the bill to the wrong address. A little understanding and commen sense would go along way.

  Worst experience with VNB. Once my loan is payed off (in 2 months) I will NEVER go through them again. Horrible customer service. It seems like no one there knows how to do their job. They're always late with posting my payments to my account and then blaim it on me when I send them in on time. They completely messed up by telling me to send my payments to New Jersey instead of New York. How do you tell a customer the wrong place? Again, I will NEVER do business of any kind with them again.

  The loan department of this bank could have monkeys working there and they would be better than EVERYONE. What a bunch of idiots. They refuse to use logic and do things the simple way. They should all work for the US government and leave the private serctor.

  I am in my 30s, and have dealt with many banks before. I had the worst experience possible with Valley National though. Camille, who is allegedly a supervisor, has no customer service skills at all. She has caused me to rally friends and family to withdrawal and close their personal and business accounts from this bank. She is rude, unreasonable, and a complete moron. Feel free to contact me if you'd like to know more about my experience with her and her bank, if I haven't spread the word by then.
