  I have been banking with United Community for 8 years now and I have always had a positive experience with the tellers here. I see a lot of one star reviews but I highly disagree. They know and refer to you by your first name, and are very personable when you visit. When someone steals your debit card information, they give you back everything that was stolen with no questions asked and replace your card immediately. They also handle family matters very seriously and with ease. My grandmother, who had dementia, was taken advantage of by two related people who wanted money taken out of her account for themselves. When the tellers caught on to what was happening, they refused service to these two and handled everything with care. I will never go anywhere else for banking.

  Just wanted to say that I've been a customer of United Community Bank for 15 years and I couldn't be happier with the decision I made to do business with them. Matt Waters is one of the main reasons that my wife and I continue to do business there. Thank you Matt and Thank You to all the staff at United Community Bank.

  When you buy change rolls for your business.. Best count them got 22 rolls of penny's 12 rolls were short, out of the 12 rolls cheated me 19 cents, won't be using united community bank nomore ..and rude tellers needs training on business ethics! I love Wells Fargo my new bank is how a real bank should be operated

  You get what you pay for... kind of... You save on fees for accounts here, but there's no communication if something goes wrong on their end. I was walked through to enroll in online banking and the assistant couldn't help me. I had to spend several hours figuring it out myself. Another instance is ordering checks and never receiving them. I wasn't notified about it after spending over $100 on them. Look elsewhere and pay the service fees for the convenience. This was a terrible and unprofessional experience. Follow up to one week later: I still haven’t received my checks yet. If there was an option to put less stars on here, I definitely would. Utterly unacceptable.

  They are the rudest people I've ever met in my life!!! I was in my car filling out my deposit slip and two bank employees came out and and said are you ok? I said yes I'm filling out my deposit slip and the women said well, you have been out here awhile, (maybe 15 min). I said I hate this bank and the little guy said well go bank somewhere else! Really? That's how you talk to someone that's banking there? I have never been treated with such disrespect in my life. There was absolutely no reason they needed to come to my car and talk to me like that.

  A shining example of how different locations and staff can tarnish the reputation of a otherwise stellar banking institution. United Community Bank is a Southeastern regional bank serving Georgia, Tennessee, North & South Carolina. They have many locations in the surrounding Gainesville area and I have always received excellent service. Until I paid a visit to the Oakwood Georgia location. I was there to make a deposit and used the drive thru. The teller left the window and after about 10 minutes returned and instructed me to go to the issuing bank and have the personal check converted into a cashiers check or she would hold the deposit 7 days. I had never had a bank make a request like that. I was dumbfounded. I attempted to get clarification but the teller refused to answer my questions. I was at a tube dispensing drive thru line so she simply ignored me and began a transaction with another lane. Incredible! I drove to another branch and visited the CSR and my deposit was made in less than 5 minutes without a hitch! As a side note I had written a check to a friend a few weeks back and he called to tell me that the same uCBI Oakwood Georgia Branch had refused to cash the check when presented with a valid ID. My friend commented that “oh they don’t like me”. A reference to the manner of service he received.

  We bank at the Oakwood branch and the people have always been exceptionally accommodating and pleasant with whom to work. We previously used a credit union but found this bank to be just what we need for local service.

  I'm 70 years old and have dealt with a lot of banks in different states and towns. This is the best best I've ever done business with. The people are friendly and helpful and they are easy to deal with when you need help with something or need a loan.

  United Community Bank in Oakwood is such a wonderful place to bank. All the employees are so friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this bank to folks looking for a great hometown bank!
