Union Home Mortgage Reviews

Patrick Hudepohl5I have referred a hand full of my friends who need a mortgage to Brian Collins and will continue to do so! Brian takes the time to explain everything if needed and takes a hands on approach with his clients compared to the big bank loan officers. If your looking for a great loan officer, go with Brian, your won’t regret it!!!

Quentin Davis5I've worked with Brian Collins and he is one of the most helpful Mortgage lenders I've ever worked with. He is always willing to go the extra mile to help his clients. Also he is very easy to get a hold of. If you are looking for someone honest and straight forward then look no further.

Corey Messer1If I could give this experience a zero I would. To give you perspective on how terrible this experience was, I have bought and sold over 50 homes in my life and I’m not out of my 30s. And I have written a total of three negative reviews in my life. I used to own a home flipping business that I got out of a few years ago. Most of our deals were “For sale by owner” we used realtors if the buyers paid them or we need an expert advice. That being said, I’ve worked with several banks and several credit unions. However, the lack of communication and the blatant lack of professionalism was uncanny in this situation. Richard Pilger was the loan officer in this situation. I was the seller. The buyers were given his name from a local realtor friend. Needless to say, the closing was changed 5 times that I can count (which prob wasn’t entirely Richard’s fault a few times). Never once were we given any information freely or to keep us updated or prepared. We had to ask for every little detail including the new closing dates and paperwork needed. When I brought this up to Mr. Pilger told me he had been in communication with the buyers and that if I had a realtor that my communication would’ve been a lot smoother (basically slamming me for doing a for sale by owner I suppose) However, he had not been in communication with the buyers because the buyers were the reason that I was reaching out to him to begin with. They were asking me things that should have came from him. Everyone was confused and lost because no one communicated on the bank’s end. Anyway, it was an awful! The closing itself took about 9-10 weeks to finally happen (and It was OHFA, which can take UP TO 45 days) then none of the numbers were right when we got there so we had to sign paperwork and come back the next day (which is tomm). I can’t say enough how much I cannot recommend this branch or this loan officer.
