  I went in today to cash my paycheck; the check was from this bank. So you have to push a door to enter and exit the bank. The door kept getting stuck: they have some sort of metal detector, but no security guard. (What is the point of having it there?) I was the only customer there and I didn't even get greeted. The bank teller Lissete R. looked mad at the world and had an attitude the whole time. I don't know why. I gave her my drivers license and she asked me for another form of I.d. Her tone of voice was bad; she doesnt like her job. If your going to work in a job, that requires you to interact with customers on a daily basis at least TRY AND ACT happy to serve clients. ****** the parking lot was full***** There are other business in the same plaza and it took me approximately 7 mins to find a parking spot.

  The branch has been closed since March with no indication if and when they might reopen. I was a customer for 12 years and generally happy, but have left for Chase which has been a great improvement. Union Bank showed no commitment to our community and NO customer service when they closed. Very disappointing.

  Spend about 45 minutes with an Edgar ******setting up a small business account but reached a snag when one of my checks I would be depositing made a problem for him. On it , a check from Southern California Gas on UNION BANK, which had my address printed below my name on the front of the check, was sent to Jim L. ****, the name on my driver's license is James L **** and the name on my new business account would have had my business name and James L ****. He seemed to be flummoxed by the idea that I could have a formal name and a day to day diminutive of that name. He blanched and said he would have to "send it upstairs" for approval and could I come in tomorrow to actually deposit my checks -- one from Citibank where I had closed out my company acct because of high fees and the "problem" check (to him!) from S. California Gas. When I called this AM one hour past the branch opening time he said he hadn't heard back from "upstairs" yet and I told him I would take my business elsewhere.

  Customer service OK. Low staffing. Only one teller when I went in. Pays intrest much lower than B of A on money market and intrest bearing checking. If you have several account linked, the combined balances of only two accounts are eligible for no fees. I had 4 accounts and had plenty of money but still got charged fees on two of the four accounts.

  Don't come here if you're too dark in skin color. They'll do everything in their power to ruin your life.

  Attempting to work through a POA and now a Trust issue. Very difficult to work with
