  This banks atm eat (retained) my debit card, which was a prepaid card. I called to see what I could do to get my card back, the lady I spoke with said there was nothing they could do to retrieve my card. I explained to her it was a prepaid card and I don't have access to any of my funds, and my checks are direct deposited to that card. She made it very clear, that wasn't her concern. And she wasn't going to make any attempt to assist me. She was not the least bit helpful, but did a great job at showing no empathy and being condescending. I would definitely not recommend this bank. I would even suggest to not use thier ATM, which by the way they charge $3.50 to use, be as well.

  Clerks are experiened, helpful and very friendly. I recommend this bank. Outstanding!

  For being a larger bank it feels like you're in smaller credit union. Staff knows your name lol. You have a direct access to chat to your teller without needing to show up at the branch. Always good (highest quality) tea and coffee if you do show up:) They really are trying to get your business. Also, its just my opinion, I have had accounts in Bank of America, US Bank, Twinstar CU, and had experience with Chase and Wells Fargo, I choose Umpqua for many reasons.
