  I love ❤️ this bank. It’s always sad to see that employees that I have gotten comfortable with move elsewhere but the new employees are just as good. Since $ can be a sensitive subject, I’m happy that the staff is so welcoming. Whether I call the 800 number or go visit my local branch I feel comfortable using this bank to keep my $ safe. This office tends to have great/beautiful decor to celebrate the seasons. In addition to the beautiful display of giveaways for different events.

  I've banked with the Phoenicia branch of Ulster for several years and it has always been a convenient and delightful experience. Everyone is very warm and helpful, and greets the regulars by name. There is even good complimentary coffee and local businesses and artists are featured regularly. But it is the high standard of customer service that has led me to write this review in appreciation. Branch manager Samantha has personally helped me with real emergencies before, including tracking down a wire transfer urgently needed for a real estate transaction and with dealing with a problem while traveling overseas. Jane in their insurance department is also incredibly helpful and an asset to the branch. Between this very personalized service, local flavor, and their community support and involvement,I feel fortunate indeed they are in our town.

  For the past couple of years I have been paying very high insurance coverage for my vehicle and I was getting fed up. Samantha Awand-gortel suggested I try getting coverage through them. After giving her my email with in 5 minutes I was contacted by a great insurance agent, Philip Bender-Tymon. All that was required of me was a copy of my insurance policy and a photo ID. Within A day I had a quote for a new plan that saved me thousands. Within the week I had new coverage. My cost per year was 6,600 after dealing with Samantha and Philip I was down to 1,600 a year. I couldn’t be happier. Highly recommend.

  I just want to share what a positive, helpful, rewarding experience I’ve had with your Bank Manager Samatha Awand-Gortel !!!! I had created a confused mess of my banking systems and was in dire need of some real help in sorting it out. Much to my relief, “Sam” straightened me all out !!! She is remarkably knowledgeable , efficient and kind . She turned a dreaded difficult task into a “problem solved “. I cannot thank her enough…..

  I’ve been banking with Ulster savings for over 10 years in Phoenicia. The politeness and helpful nature of the staff has always taken notice with me, especially from the branch manager Samantha. She is always there when I need her, and knows exactly how to quickly, efficiently, and politely rectify any issues I may have. The Phoenicia branch is in excellent hands, and I look forward to any and all upcoming bank visits!

  It is really bizarre to read the critical reviews of the exemplary employees of Ulster Savings in Phoenicia. My experience at US Phoenicia has always been wonderful. Manager Samantha Awand-Gortel (who was a teller when we first started with the bank) is the definition of the word, "professional", as is the rest of the friendly helpful staff. No matter how complicated the financial issue, Sam & company always address it swiftly. Problems get solved. And all with a level of personal service and kindness that makes it a pleasure to go to the bank.

  Terrific Customer Service! Always Professional. A Huge asset to our Town, always willing to help local causes. Branch Manager Samantha & her staff are always willing to explain things well, and help whenever they can.
