UFirst Credit Union Reviews

rardy samantics1Staff is great bank is bad. Getting access to your account info online is like working a full time job. Wouldn't be so bad but The over draft protection is not real. You never know when your going into the red until they start sending you bills. I guess it always works in the houses favor.

Enoch Smith2tl;dr - This company will sell your personal info to marketers, and their service reps will lie to you about it. I need to have my personal phone available to employees or clients at work, so it's very important to me to not get spammed by marketers. I realize I could just block all incoming calls not on my contacts list, but I don't always have people's contact info before an emergency occurs, so widespread blocking is not really an option. I explained to Carla Zaragoza, the UFirst rep who set up my account, that no personal info being sold to marketers was a hard requirement of my membership. She insisted that they never sold personal information for any reason, marketing or otherwise, so I went ahead and set up my account. Over the weekend, I was perusing the fine print of our contract, and it did, in fact, say that UFirst could and would sell my personal info for marketing purposes, with no ability to opt-out. I confirmed this policy by calling their customer service line. Would not recommend this credit union unless you like working with dishonest people and getting spammed by marketers.

Alison Rowse1Horrible. I don't even bank here but deposit into my landlord's account. Sat in the drive through for 20 minutes so far...in fact, I am writing this while still waiting. Please advise your employees to either do their jobs efficiently or have them ask customers that have three, four or five transactions to go inside the branch. Two cars are blocking access to the ATM and by the window the woman has been talking for twenty five minutes now. The drive through is meant to be efficient and quick. I am now late for work.

Julie Anne Nielsen1I made an appointment to close Roth IRA. This staff didn't know how to close my IRA account. They did not follow through to get in touch with me that day. I waited for them and their email. I needed it done that day. I ought to have gone to see the staff at the Sandy branch.

Megan Murdock1I called and paid a fee to get a block put on my account for a scam. The next day the money from the scam was pulled. They hadn't put the block on my account correctly and I verified this after calling higher up. They didn't take responsibility and it has been taking me hours over days to figure this out. When I needed customer service and support they didn't come through.

the coolest channel on YouTube1First of all, what kind of Bank won't change an excited toddlers change into bills? I guess I could've lied and said it was mine. Then you surely would've deposited it... I don't believe you when you say you can't count the change. What kind of Bank doesn't have a change counter?! Do no businesses use your services?! But maybe I do believe you don't have the capacity to help a little guy given the obvious incompetence of the teller I was working with. The card I got never worked in the first place. Only the chip so I found myself charging my credit card constantly at places that didn't have a chip reader. When I went to fix the problem, it took a solid 30 minutes because the teller didn't know what he was doing and was too shy to ask for help. Any other bank, I can go in and have my card replaced in less than 5 minutes. So, not only was I dealing with a bored, disappointed toddler but your incompetence as well. After leaving with my new "fixed" card, that I now have found ALSO doesn't work!!! I'm furious! Then to top it all off, we get 6 more cards in the mail? What in the actual... You know. Okay, rant over. I'll take my money and go to a credit Union that knows the they're doing.

Drayton Bailey1Is it possible to provide a 0 star rating? If so, I would apply it to University Federal credit Union. This is the absolute worst credit union on the planet Earth (perhaps the universe). Absolutely no customer service to talk about. Unbelievably heartless and arrogant group of people. I'm beside myself on the level of insanity this credit union exhibited over a simple oversight. I have never been treated so poorly in my life. No matter how reasonable and prudent you attempt to be while working out a issue. You quickly learn to expect nothing but heartless and cruel responses. Words don't do it justice. I hope no ever finds themselves at the end of the barrel with University Federal credit Union. I do not recommend this credit union to anyone. I regret having ever done business with this organization.

Festus Punky1Somewhere on earth is the worst credit union. Is this it? Probably. Their website is an unfunny joke (frames anyone?). Bill pay is handled by a semi competent third party. Their app doesn’t allow users to pay bills over a couple of grand. After eight years as a member, I’m still treated like I just walked in off the street. If I wasn’t so lazy, I’d close my last account here...

Richard Duran1I hate to leave only one star to such a great bank but it's a review for this particular establishment. My father reffered me and I was accepted quickly which I was grateful for never having a bank account at the age of 40. A few months later my now husband was added. We both used direct deposit and wanted to purchase a car so we applied for a loan that was denied because even though Richard obtained full employment with a company for five years it was still a staphing agency. Disappointing but understandable. Before leaving the bank a man came from another office and said Richard was not allowed on account anymore because his name on ID didn't match. It was a new ID and not noticed that his mother's maiden name was in the place of his middle name most likely because that the surname he used before turning 18 years old. We went directly to the Drivers licence division where they fixed their mistake for free, zipped back to bank and he was added back to our account. A week later few weeks later while we were back at this location making a deposit the same man as before came out telling us that he was again taking him off the account until we got a letter from Social Security office stating his name was indeed correct. Frustrated Richard said nevermind he could tell they didn't want his service. He was use to being treated in certain areas not deserving being a Mexican construction worker. I had no idea these types of things happened and now I've seen this happen a few places that seemed normal and friendly when I was alone. I feel awful for not believing and having him brought into such a situation. We are now today changing our branch we bank at but keeping University and other employees like always have been kind. Oh ya. Even today that same man told an online employee that his social security number doesn't match so that's why he got kicked off three times. Crazy he still keeps trying. And we never reacted to this man so I don't get how determined he is to not serve us. He opened my account and my last name is not any of my ID's because I haven't changed it yet after marriage but always signed and used my maiden name from day one. Why don't they give me problems ?
