      Today I went in to this US bank location to close an old account. Carmen, the teller, was rude and standoffish from the start. I explained to her what I wanted to do and why I wanted to close the account. She turns to look at me and asks “so why do you want to close the account?” I stared at her blankly thinking she was joking but she was serious. I guess she was paying 0 attention. So I kindly explained the situation again. Then she spent 5 minutes typing away on her keyboard in silence only to tell me I needed to make a deposit and come back tomorrow to close the account. I said I wouldn’t be doing that because it doesn’t make sense and requires another trip to the bank. I tried asking her why US Bank could charge me fees but wouldn’t let me close the account but I couldn’t finish my question both times without her interrupting me. I asked her to please let me finish my question before she tried to answer. Apparently upset by this, she told me to leave the bank and go to a different location. I asked for a manager and he closed the account in minutes. When I attempted to discuss Carmens terrible customer service with the manager, he brushed it off and changed the subject. Being the immature person I am, I walked by Carmens desk on my way out (which was on the way out. I didn’t walk of my way to be a jerk) to thank her for her outstanding customer service and let her know the account was closed. Don’t use this bank. Try the State Bank of Geneva up the street. Better rates and customer service.

      Hidden fees and extra charges is how US Bank gets away with robbery. Even if you opt out of overdraft protection they still find a way to apply fees to your account by the week. Apparently, even if you've been a customer for years, it holds no value or appreciation. All they care about is making a profit- On a student account at that. Do better US Bank. Very poor business standards.

      Horrible bank, went today and it said temporarily closed. What happens to people who need to grab something or talk to a banker. Called and no answer? I am glad to move my account somewhere else.

      This branch of the bank in Geneva Illinois is a huge joke! People in training messing up accounts! Manager doesnt return calls...we have been with them for many years and have our mortgage with them...stay away and go somewhere else....they are horrible and have no respect for their customers!

      Don't count on them keeping the alloted appointment they make with you. Disorganized and frantic is the best way to call this location. I won't go back for anything.

      Very nice professional staff. You can get into the lot easily from James St instead of navigating Main St traffic. Great location just west of Geneva downtown shopping district.
