Truliant Federal Credit Union Charlotte Reviews

Julia Claire Perez1After nearly ten years of being a Truliant member and never having any issues, I’ve been forced to completely change my view of this company- at least, this local branch. I had to close my current debit card due to fraud, and requested Truliant send me a new card (seems like a simple task!). I called customer service who instructed me to go to this local branch to have a new card printed in-store. Upon arriving at the branch, I was told that the card machine was down and I would have to return when it was fixed. Instead of having to drive back to the branch, I figured the most efficient thing to do would be to have them mail me the new card. (The people here don’t seem to understand the hassle of having to take off work early and arrange for transportation just to pick up something that could easily be mailed). Seeing as how the branch is within the same zip code as where I live, I didn’t think this would take more than a day. I called customer service back and they informed me that someone at the branch would mail me the card. A week and a half later, I called back as I hadn’t yet received the card and was told they have no record of a request to mail the new card. They ensured this time that they would make a note to tell Robin at this branch to mail the card this time. They assured me that Robin would be placing the card in the mail no later than 1pm on the day I called. Fast forward two weeks since this issue began, and I have since not received the card. My phone service was shut off, payments have bounced, and I’ve been left to clean up this financial mess all because Truliant is sloppy in their service. My fiancé ironically also had to cancel his debit card in the past few weeks due to fraud, and I watched how gracefully and efficiently Wells Fargo handled his transaction. In the future, I will be banking with Wells Fargo and I encourage any Truliant members or prospective members reading this to do the same. Do better, Truliant.

Preston Binkley2Scheduled an appointment to discuss buying a home for the first time. I need advice and guidance as someone who has never been through this process before; Basic questions like "how much home can I afford", or "which loan is best for my financial situation"? Turns out the lady I got matched with (Barbara) for this 'meeting' has absolutely nothing to do with home loans, so from the time I sat down the mood was very awkward and one sided. I really got the impression she didn't care about helping me one bit. All she did was pull out a piece of paper and highlight the "First-Time Homebuyer Mortgage", and advise I use some calculator online to show me how much my monthly payment would be. Like, lady, do you seriously think I have not already done that? If I took the time to come sit down in person with you, it's because I am looking for information I can't already find online. She did email one of their lenders on my behalf and give me his number. I did not walk out of that building any more educated or with any new information, and I sincerely regret spending my lunch break by wasting my time going there. I am leaving two stars instead of one because I think the real issue is not her, but how their scheduling system works. She was clearly not the right resource for that discussion.

Brittney P1I rate this place zero stars. Most of the women who work here are VERY old, bitter, rude, unprofessional, and racist. I literally DREAD going to Susans' window 🙄. I hope they hire more diversed workers at this branch and workers who actually want to be there and model/display what Truliant says they strive to be. This branch used to have such nice workers but they are no longer there now.

Rhonda T1Banker beware!!!! I strongly suggest you pay very close attention to your accounts if you bank here. I had three different occasions where they ( whoever THEY is) have taken funds from my account without my permission. Also had a teller to take $500 from my savings account and it clearly wasn’t an accident like she said. I’m DONE!!!! ZERO STARS!!!!

Prettishy37 P1If, I could I'll give this location a fu*king zero. It's 2022 and I dislike writing reviews but this needs attention. These people act sooo prejudice in here it's ridiculous. When a Caucasian person come in here everyone is all smiles and asking how may I help you. Please beware people of this location in STEELE CREEK!!!

class reunion1They lost me as a new member at the Rivergate/Steele Creek location. I scheduled an appointment for 9am to open an account. I was there 9am sharp and walked up to the door to find it locked. I waited a bit but then left to get coffee since they weren't ready to open. I came back only to find the door still locked so I again left. As I got into my car, someone by the name of Susan came out. However, I was already frustrated with their lack of urgency and unprofessional attention. So I decided not to open an account. Plenty of competitors out there for me to choose. I get we are in a pandemic but when you know you have an appointment and someone is to be there at a certain time. A bank rep should be at the door prepared to receive the client. Not wait for a client to fiddle or jiggle with your door so you can hear if someone is outside waiting. There was no one stationed at the kiosk by the door. I suggest to do this when you know you have appointments for the day so the rep can see, receive and meet clients. Instead having clients knock on your door for you to get out of your office and off facebook to help.

Lisa Oxendine5I can’t say enough nice things about the staff here at Truliant @ Rivergate! They have gone ABOVE and BEYOND to help me refinance my vehicle and consolidate my debt. I previously held my accounts at Bank of America for the last 14 years....and had I known the level of service offered by Truliant, I would of switched a LONG TIME AGO! Barbara helped me with all of the above mentioned accounts and thoroughly explained things to me while being available to answer any questions I had. Melissa always smiles and greets me when I pop in to make a deposit or whatever I need to do! She even remembers small details about my boyfriend and I whenever we walk through the door. I look forward to being a long term member. I’ve even referred family...because their service is EXCEPTIONAL!
Response from the ownerThank you so much for this great review!!!!
