sudden inspirations1My mom received a letter saying her credit card account was going to be cancelled for lack of use. Mom never had an account with this bank. I called to inquire why she received the letter and all they wanted was her full social security number over the phone. Of course, I did not give this to them. Based on all the one-star reviews this bank has received, maybe they need to be investigated.

Tatiana Bonifaz1This is by far the worst bank I’ve ever had my money in terrible follow-ups customer service mortgage every situation possible I had and I always had to waste my day off in the main branch for at least 45 minutes. If I had to keep writing it would be a book I would not suggest anyone trying SunTrust. When I hear anyone mention SunTrust Bank I clinch. When the mortgage office was to send me information to my email they were so incompetent that they sent my email not including the Y in Yahoo and the @ in the email therefore it ejected and the person that sent it was oblivious that the email never went through hello what kind of customer service is that if you don’t even know if your email went through to the customer a week later I had to wait another week plus they charge you $15 for a fax fee which ended up to be $45 for their stupidity and incompetence, with yet to this day I have not been credited back. When I went bankrupt I did not go bankrupt with the mortgage however they never reinstated my mortgage and they never sent credit report to the credit agency so for 2 1/2 years it showed that I was bankrupt yet five years straight I paid on time and never been late what kind of bank does this and when I had to ask for proof of those 2 1/2 years so that I can refinance they stated they couldn’t help me I had to fight and beg them to please get me this information because it is needed to prove that I have been paying my mortgage. It took two weeks to provide me this information so I can forward it to the refinancing agency rocket mortgage finally I’m done now going to find another bank but I think if this time will be a credit union bank

Kyle Waltz1I recently bought a business and opened an account with Suntrust. Opening was very easy. I then deposited $10,000 in checks the beginning of March. They put a hold on the checks (fairly normal for a new account). Then, I went to log in and they had closed my account. They told me they closed the account because they didn’t believe I owned that business (even though they approved me opening the account). It is now the end of March and I’ve yet to get my money back. They have told me that they do not know when I will get my money. This is grand theft and I will be filing a report with the feds.

Steven Adcock109/30/20 Went to deposit my rent today. I did not have my landlords account number. Last month the teller looked it up for me and was very helpful. Today I was told looking up his account information for me to simply make the deposit was against company policy. Abigail my teller refused me the same service that was provided to me one month ago. I was told it was against company policy for them to look up my landlords account so that I may make a timely deposit of rent. When I asked to view the policy I was told by abigail my bank teller that it was not that it was not in writing. Because of the bad customer service, because of refusal to help an account holder make money and the unwillingness to do a good job, I was refused service and now I owe a late fee! All I litterly wanted to do is put money into an account. Wow! This branch truly sucks!

ME1I've been with Suntrust for over 20 years, home loans, checking, money market...I've called them for an opportunity on a home loan, but no call backs or any follow-ups; BOA gave me a better rate that they publish within 15 minutes. Done with Suntrust, moving all my assets to BOA, and it's not peanuts! Amazing!
