I have been a Suntrust customer for over 25 years. Since the Truist merger I have found Truist to be the worst bank I have ever seen. I have an issue with my Quicken financial software and have spent multiple hours on hold and or talking with their customer service. Today I have call ed three times, held for over 30 minutes each time. Twice my called got disconnected and the third time they answered and said they could not hear me. Get rid of this bank if you are a customer and if you are looking to be a customer I would not suggest them They are absolutely horrible.

They don’t even deserve 1 star. Absolutely terrible, Mary doesn’t ever answer the phone or check her voicemail it seems. Would not recommend anybody to them.

I have been a long time customer of BB&T. I had an elderly woman that was dying of cancer move into my home with me and my wife since there family could not help her. I went with her to the bank to open a checking account for her so I could pay her little phone bill. She passed away yesterday. I called and canceled the account and then noticed they pulled my credit without my permission. I already had accounts with them. I called them thinking it was a mistake and they said they did pull it without my knowledge. Now I have to take the time to Notify Equifax and show that BB&T fraudulently pulled my credit. Pretty bad when you help someone that is dying with no place to go and a company takes it into there own hands to start underhanded activities. No morals!

I used to bank here a while ago, but I always had constant issues. I transferred over to Delta Community Credit Union, which is MUCH better than any bank. My parents still bank with Bb&T, however. Yesterday , my mother and I were spending some time out in town. She wanted to deposit cash into her own account. The teller told my mother that she needed her ID to make sure it was her own account that she was putting the money into and that they only did this with cash. My mother replied “you need to see my ID for me to PUT cash into an account?” She has been banking with them for years and has never had this issue. She asked the teller to send her cash back and she would just go inside to sort it out or go to another branch. Mrs.Dee is the only one who takes care of everything in a timely manner and without any hassle. My mother says when Dee retires, she is leaving the bank. In my experience, as well as my families, this bank just isn’t worth it!

I've banked with BB&T since I was a college student, and haven't had any issues until now. I went in to try and obtain a credit card and was told I had absolutely no credit to my name, which is false, and I asked how would that be possible since I make car payments every month, but I was told "Maybe it depends on how long you've been paying on your car...I'm not sure". I felt as if the clerk has no idea what she was doing. I drove across the street to a credit union and got a credit card in about 20 minutes, AND they were able to see my credit/pull my credit score...I was annoyed that I had wasted my time at BB&T. About a week later a friend of mine needed to cash some saving bonds, but didn't have a personal bank other than a credit union. She asked if I would walk into BB&T with her since I banked there and just simply ask if they could do it there. Before she even got the question out of her mouth the clerk(an elderly woman named "Dee") turned around stated "NO! Not here, NOPE, not without an account, SORRY!" She didn't even look at us when she was answering the question. She was so incredibly rude about it that I don't think I will ever return here. Do yourself a favor...don't bother walking in this bank.

I have been a BB&T Mortgage customer for two years. The entire time I have tried to remove PMI, something the loan officier said should be possible right away. I bought a foreclosed house that had immediate equity. First I got, you must have two years good payment history. Well this past two and a half months has been utter torture. FORGET talking to anyone in that department, only written correspondence. I voiced 50 plus complaints, a handful of surveys, several interactions at the local branch.... Haven't heard a word. Just avoid. Don't go to them, if you are getting a loan from someone that doesn't service the loan, make sure BB&T is not on the list of possible buyers.

Unbelievably rude and unhelpful. Be sure to bring 7 forms of ID and be treated like a terrorist.
