If I could give a "0", I would. Been with Suntrust/ now "Truist" ..which isn't ~ for 25+ years. Never in my entire life have I seen such bad results as what I've experienced these last several days. All of what they've done to me as their client leaves me speechless. As a Senior and a Veteran, they've just lost my business. I am appalled. I've wept my last tear as of today. Though "Carolyn" and I worked to get to the bottom of issues, it was NOT resolved. I left the bank in tears over this latest bruhaha. None of this is funny nor laughable. As a disabled Veteran, I am 30 Miles away from this bank. When you cannot use your card ANYWHERE to get cash because the pin is not working...even working to change the pin and it still won't work, even though professional help intervention...it left me speechless and in tears. I do not have the time nor energy to deal with this. For this reason, this bank leaves me no alternative. I refuse to have a heart attack because Truist cannot provide the professional results I need to use my account. How utterly sad on all levels. I am 77. I don't need this headache.

I received a check from a client of theirs. My bank called to verify their funds and they flat out refused to even talk with them. They said to my bank that they had to have the person on that wrote the check on my banks line to verify the account with them. Why can’t a bank verify a check to another bank. My bank will verify any check I write to the person I write it too! What about this isn’t right!!

The last two visits inside this bank, I've dealt with a teller who has performed the wrong transaction without asking. First time she was wrong, this time I called her on it. She got defensive. Cashing a check shouldn't be a lousy experience. .

If I could give zero stars, I would. What a cluster! Been a customer for over 25 years. Never had any issues with access -- especially bill pay. Their new mobile products do not work. Wait times for phone and text assistance were over an hour so I went in to the branch. To my dismay, they have to call the same line. The banker just put the phone on speaker and said we would have to wait an hour until someone picks up. No idea how they will stay in business.

This is NOT Terry but his wife, Beverley. In years past, before Covid and buyouts, etc., was treated with utmost respect. The ladies at the counters knew me by name and were very helpful. Jim Taylor was and is first class and has the utmost respect. Helpful above and beyond. Thank you.

Terrible everything. I’ve been a customer over 15 years and it’s time to switch banks. Truist will be out of business by the end of the year

DO NOT GIVE YOUR MONEY TO SUNTRUST. Started an account with them. 5 days later on the first of the month they closed my account because a customers checks bounced. They are now holding my 7000.00 in cash indefinitely and won't even tell me a date they will release it and mail it to me. Had no way to pay my rent or carnote. Do not trust this bank at all.

This happened back May 5th, 2020. SunTrust/Truist is the most incompetent bank I ever came across. I decided to open me up business account since I could apply online and monthly fee was cheaper than the bank I bank at. I was wanting to save for car to do rideshare and food delivery. Everything was going fine with application online until it said unavailable and they couldn't verify my identity. Then I got an email saying my account was approved. Then got another email saying I need to pay 100.00 deposit. Then I got email saying I need to fill out signature card. With covid19 there wasn't any library open so I went to Hendersonville branch to fill out there. There wasn't anyway to fill out online. I walked up to drive thru and signed papers I needed to sign inside. Then I wasn't able to sign up for the online cash manager. I submitted at least 5 times online and I would get get email saying I was in system or the information was incorrect. So I vistited Hendersonville branch again. I walked up to drive thru like I do at Portland bank I bank at. This time wasnt good experience at all. First thing I was asked if I had car and where did I come from. I didn't even see you. I said Uber dropped me off. Then she said we can't have you in our drive thru. I was basically refused service until I asked if I could come inside. With Covid19 only drive thru is open. They made me feel like I did something wrong. All the lady had to do is ask me to come up front like they did last time I was there.  Turns out my account had freeze on it. Lady up front was trying to sign me up and another lady said I need business license to have business account. I said its just for rideshare. I was really upset by whole thing.  I called up there toll free number and that branch didnt file my papers from previous visit to take freeze off my account. Basically two checks came back because of the freeze I wasn't even aware of. I spent 101.00 between two Uber trips to Portland to Hendersonville and back. I ordered deposit slips and checks that for a account I couldnt use. Its like I have to visit a branch for everything with this bank. Toll free number isnt much better. I even overheard one lady when I was inside and she was talking on phone saying they don't give out account balances over the phone. My bank does. I was thinking are you serious! It took nearly month to receive a debit card for my account from time I opened it. I finally had enough and went to US bank. No problems and I was able to signup for online banking same day. Once my balance went to 0 I had them close my suntrust/Truist account out. I had enough of this bank. I dealt with lot banks but this one is the WORST!

I agree with Maggie Duran’s review. This branch definitely profiles people as they come in. The teller after asking me if I always keep such a large balance in my checking took an inordinate amount of time to process my withdrawal. Two other customers came into the bank after me and walked up to different tellers and with drew funds while I was still waiting for Stephanie to process my withdrawal. When I asked her what was taking so long she told me it was because of my large withdrawal and she was protecting me! I don’t think so! Profiling me is more like it. I gave two forms of ID. My Suntrust Bank Card and my Driver’s License. It shouldn’t take 10-15 minutes or double the normal processing time for one customer and 3-5 minutes for the other. Either the money is in your account or it isn’t! Either your picture ID looks like you or it doesn’t! Either signatures match or they don’t! I’ll try not to use this particular branch again. I see why the bad reviews! They are warranted.

Yes, the branch manager Elizabeth is probably better at flipping burgers at Mc Donald's but, the real problem in a situation like this is upper management. This proves they don't listen to these reviews ( or customers) and don't care about taking any action. Now with all these bad reviews being true why would you trust your money or loans with a broken upper management ?? Too many better banks out there like First Horizon & Bank of Tenn. to waste your time here.
