Brittany Williams1Stopped by to open up a checking account before heading to work. I had received a card to open bright banking with $200 deposit order. I had to go thru drive thru as the inside was closed to public. The teller asked some questions about job, life insurance, health insurance, and once she got to auto then credit - I let her know I was on my way to work I needed more info on both. She asked a good time for someone to call in regards and I said “tomorrow after 12”. She had me sign for over draft protection which I denied. When asked about credit I stated I needed more info and declined that as well. She then handed me a paper stating it was for overdraft protection (although I just signed one) but it was for a credit line I declined! I was given direct deposit info as I needed it for work. When putting in info I noticed 3accounts savings (known) checking1(known) checkings 2(unknown). I looked over my “New account openings “ and there was a checking and a credit line of $500 limit. I declined and stated I needed more info, so I was confused at why I still had an account open without my consent. When looking through all the papers (as I just got to work and noticed) there was a bbt constant credit account opening disclosure, but how?! After contacting customer service first thing Monday morning - I was told that the branch manager (not the teller who opened the account but was present at time of transaction) would reach out after finishing with customer. When calling she acknowledged she was there at the time and stated “ I was there and I do remember you declining the credit line, but you did sign a credit line over draft protection agreement .” I asked her “why would I agree and sign that if I declined from the jump?” She replied “ I’m not going back and forth with you, but you signed the overdraft protection agreement”(although I declined that as well). Come to find out it was for a the credit line! I don’t like for my intelligence to be insulted nor shady business! This is just mind blowing how the business that I’ve been with for over 20 yrs is operating in such a manner, and trying to flip it around as though you did something wrong! It’s funny how I never even received a follow up and the credit info, but got a message (auto insurance) from an older lady who’s yet to return my call. I don’t care how long someone’s had their job - this is unacceptable and know that there’s ALWAYS room for improvement as no one is perfect!

Rick Young1I have been a business banking client for 10 years. During the COVID-19 crisis, the management of TRUIST Bank decided to turn it's back on it's small business banking customers and STOPPED accepting applications for the Payroll Protection Program. Would you trust a bank that isn't there to help you during the worst economic calamity of our lifetimes, when other more reputable financial institutions will?

Hannah Kearney1I've been with BB&T for upwards of four years, never had any problems until I started to have to use this branch. One specific teller has caused me issues numerous times by not communicating important details. This branch makes me want to switch banks.
