  As a first time homebuyer, I was far from knowing all the steps that went into getting a loan. Suzette and her team, Shamayne and Mary, made the process super easy. They were very responsive and always answered any question I had, big or small. I highly recommend reaching out to Suzette for your next home loan.

  My builder offers a $4500 closing cost credit to get your loan through American Eagle but I can tell you it is not worth the aggravation you'll go through working with these people. I normally do not write reviews on anyone either positively or negatively but my loan officer Michele Pellum is worse than awful. My advise, if you are assigned to her, demand a different loan officer immediately and save yourself some grief.

  I’ve finally gotten settle into my new home. But I have to WARN first time homebuyers and my fellow Veterans of my experience with this company. Kelly Garanzuay was my loan adviser. This company made things extremely harder than what it needed to be. She dropped the ball more than once on my loan. She obviously needs to attend more training and Couple of Math classes. Days before closing I received final notice that the monthly mortgage that I agreed on and that I was ok with paying had increased by hundreds of dollars. That’s only 1/2 of it!!! I wish I can write more. She is very unprofessional and told me via text “ that she made her manager aware of how I was in my feeling”. I have the text to prove it. I spoke to her manager once who was also disrespectful and nonchalant about my experience with this whole situation. During closing the attorney and I had to wait hours before getting a response when things was revised. A 2 hrs closing turned into 4. The only reason why I stayed was because I didn’t want to loose this home, as we all know how the housing market is today. And finally my Loan was sold to another company within a month. Please go to a company who will ease the stress! It’s thousands of lenders out there just don’t use this one. BEWARE!!!

  My wife and I recently purchased a home and American Eagle Mortgage was FANTASTIC! I couldn't have written a letter to GOD and got a better finance company. The staff is truly amazing. They were available to me almost immediately to answer any questions I had, and expertly answered them all. Linda Kennedy and Bobbi Jo were both very friendly, prompt, considerate, and exceptionally knowledgeable about the entire process of buying a home. They went above and beyond my expectations and I am forever grateful. I would HIGHLY recommend them to anyone seeking financing! Thank you so very very much.

  Do not waste your time with American Eagle Mortgage. It was the worst experience imaginable. I'm a former banker and I would have been fired on the spot if I treated my customers the way I've been treated. It took 84 days for my application to get to underwriting. 84 DAYS!!!! On the 85th day I was told I didn't qualify (I had to wait 85 days for a NO). If you're in no hurry to close and enjoy bad customer service this is the perfect company for you. Happy to disclose more info publicly if the company wants to refute ANY statement I've made.

  Such an amazing company. Linda Kennedy helped me in purchasing my first home. The process was very smooth and anytime I had questions she was always there to answer by email or phone. I would highly recommend American Eagle Mortgage to anyone!!!!

  What is a loan officer? I guess it depends. To my wife and I, Eric Couben at American Eagle Kennesaw was more than a loan officer during the lending process. Getting a mortgage is not easy under any circumstance or stretch of the imagination. It is more complicated when your landlord tells you they are moving back in to the address you have called home for over 7 years and you have only a few months to move out; even more complicated when you have 3 children in the household. Add to that a tax debt and an “ex” with over 6 recent months of late mortgage payments (in my name) and you have what many call an impossible situation. Impossible for everyone but Eric that is, we closed in April of 2019 after meeting Eric in late January 2019. During the loan process, we wanted to give up, we wanted to just find a place to rent to ease the pain of the volumes of information we had to provide, the discipline required with our finances and the doubt that we would be successful. In those times Eric was our counselor, encouraging us to stay positive and reassuring us that he would leverage his 20+ years of experience to do what ever it took to ensure we would not be homeless. He found a way for us and he will find a way for you to stop throwing money down the drain renting and become a homeowner. I know because he did it for our family and we are forever grateful because of it. Thank you American Eagle and THANK YOU ERIC!

  We worked with Eric Couben and his team. They were very knowledgeable, and held our hand every step of the way. It took us almost a year to even find a house and Eric was there to answer questions the whole time. He had a positive attitude throughout the whole process and kept our spirits up when we were getting discouraged. I would recommend him and his team to anyone buying a home!
