  We recently worked with GP and his staff and they did an OUTSTANDING job! They were always available when we had questions and went the extra mile to get answers.   Having recently decided to refinance my home, I was unsure as to who or what company I should use. After a referral from a friend, I decided to call GP and set up an appointment to discuss my options. It’s no secret to my friends that I’m very particular and could be considered “high-maintenance,” and using someone that I could trust and who was familiar with the Lakewood area was also important to me. Within five minutes or less, I knew that I was in the right place, and in good hands with GP and his staff. He was very knowledgeable and friendly, and took time to answer every single question I had. Using my latest mortgage statement, GP was able to calculate my refinance options and give me some choices depending on term, rate, and payment amounts; never once did I feel pressure to choose one option over the other, or even complete the refinance. His entire staff, particularly of note, Sarah “SS” and Crystal were so helpful and ALWAYS available to answer any questions I had, no matter the time of day. In the end, GP was able to refinance my current mortgage, saving me tons ($90,000+) of interest and cutting almost 13 years of my existing loan. You won’t find a more honest or friendly mortgage lender, who has such a knowledgeable and helpful team. I have already started referring friends and family to GP for whatever mortgage services they may need. If, or when, I get ready to buy another home, GP will be one of the first calls I make.

  I highly recommend GP Theriot and Theriot Mortgage Group for any real estate lending needs in and around Dallas. He offered very competitive mortgage rates, and his team had some of the best customer service I've ever experienced. He's been great since, then, too, answering follow-up questions well beyond the transaction date.

  A friend of mine put me in contact with GP Theriot of Theriot Mortgage Group after having a positive experience with them. Trusting his opinion, I reached out to Theriot Mortgage Group and they were very straightforward and forthright with the entire mortgage application, funding and closing process. Additionally, they were able to streamline the process to allow me to close on my house in thirty (30) days after it went under contract. I had a great experience with Theriot Mortgage Group and have already recommended them to a coworker of mine.

  We did plenty of research and shopping around for our 15 yr fixed mortgage and the Theriot Group beat out the competition with a good rate, less origination fees, and the fact that they wouldn't immediately sell our mortgage. GP and Theresa answered all our questions patiently and made the process as smooth as possible - happy with our choice and would recommend to anyone!

  GP and his team, as well as FirstUnited, are outstanding. I've waited almost a year to post a review because I wanted to assess how responsive and sophisticated a smaller mortgage servicing financial institution such as FirstUnited would be. Would there be communications problems, odd requests, problematic mortgage banking staff? And, the answer is a resounding endorsement of GP, his team and FirstUnited. As all the other posts reflect, GP and his team are probably the most hands-on, most responsive mortgage originating team in Dallas. That was the easy part. But FirstUnited's responsiveness was yet to be proved. And it has passed the test, almost a year into the mortgage and several phone calls, interactions with FirstUnited staff, mailings, etc. And because GP and his team are so committed, if there ever were a problem with FirstUnited, I feel confident they would have my back in working through the issues. And once you're part of the GP Theriot family, there's no going back. I regularly received email updates and mailings of genuinely interesting news. I just received in the mail a Happy Birthday card signed personally by the whole team! If you go with GP and his team, you can't go wrong. They got me the best rate, worked seamlessly through all the issues in the mortgage approval process--it doesn't hurt that GP is FirstUnited's top originator--and made the closing effortless. In the process, GP and his team have saved me tens of thousands of dollars in mortgage payments!

  Fairway was great to work with! Communicated often and responded quickly to all questions/concerns. I appreciated the additional communication regarding general mortgage information. Their customer service is A+!
