  I first met Noel Cookman at the Mortgage Institute through my attorney in 2010 when I was filing for divorce. He met me at a coffee shop and we discussed what the best workable steps were to help me to be able to qualify for a mortgage after the divorce was final, since I had no income history in 13 years. I knew he was the right person to be able to help me navigate my divorce settlement and walk me through every step of the way to buy a home. I have also relied on The Mortgage Institute to buy a second home in 2019. I had some income issues and they worked extremely hard for me to get my approval through the underwriters. I would highly recommend Noel Cookman of The Mortgage Institute to anyone needing help with their mortgage or navigating a divorce to purchase a home. I still keep in contact with Mr. Cookman through Facebook and read his blogs and newsletters. He is an expert in the field of mortgage finance. He can help you too.

  Noel has uniformly helped me help my clients understand and then act on the options with a house in clients' divorces. And he is able to get the deal closed fast, many times within 30 days of the Decree being signed--which makes us lawyers ( not to mention the client) happy to have everything done that quickly! And Noel has also been very helpful in steering me away from some bad ideas I might have had or to help me modify ideas so that they will work. He's a great resource!

I've called him often (usually in the middle of a divorce negotiation) and he is always available. He calmly cuts through the jungle of technicalities to explain concepts and give clear options.
