  I would run the other way unless you like running your credit for no reason. I was told the rate and term for loan then applied with what was told to me. Rate came back same but term was way shorter cause they didn’t even offer the term I was told on a boat loan creating a payment way higher then told before underwriting. Staff should be trained better to inform there clients the correct info before having them apply with false info.

  I LOVE Tech Credit Union!! I wish I would have found it years ago. They offer all the services I need and NO FEES or Closing Costs!! I was so surprised! They love my dog, Shadow, and everyone is SO friendly. Colleen, the Manager is THE BEST and she has helped us so much. I never thought I would like a “bank”, but this place is different. We are part of the team here and the experience is so much nicer than any banking experience I have ever had. I will never go to a regular bank again. Thank you, Colleen and crew!!

  I've been with Tech Credit Union for 12 years for checking, savings and more recently, a car loan. I am grateful I have one month left of my car loan so I can switch to another bank. It has nothing to do with the staff- everyone I've worked with has been great. I've lived with the minor inconvenience with the bank being closed on Wednesdays (I get paid on Wednesdays) but now they're charging $5 to cash checks. They said I can avoid that by depositing it and taking it out of the ATM. This may be ok for some, but I'd rather do my banking with a bank that will make my life easier- not more difficult.

  Had a slight lapse in insurance coverage on a motorcycle loan. It was because the policy was on auto pay and I paid annually. Tech stepped in and force placed a policy for over $4500 a year. As soon as I seen I wasn’t insured I corrected the problem and forwarded the information to tech. They charged me over $1600 for the gap (slightly over 2 months) and added it to my loan. I can understand a reasonable charge. But 4600 a policy that doesn’t even cover liability on a Harley Davidson is ridiculous and a rip off. I would be careful when being lured in with a low interest rate. They will make up for it anywhere they can. I will be filing a complaint at the BBB and the attorney generals office. As well as at the Porter county small claims court.

  The best staff and the greatest service I have ever gotten. These people go out of their way to make you feel great, remember things about you when you go back in, and it's like you're valued as a customer and almost as a friend. This is like banks used to be. Great people. Great place.

  Actual personal banking, by members of the community with a stake in the community — not robot bankers too big to fail. If we are going to rail against big bank bailouts, we also have to reward the local small banks in our community. These guys keep their promises.

  I was a member years ago and only reason I ever left was because I moved down south ... Well I have been back for some time but I was with Chase Bank and over the years I have gotten fed up with the lack of chase just not giving a dam and poor customer service.. You don't get the courtesy out of chase if you don't have half a million I'm their bank .. Tech credit union treats you well has more to offer the small guy with personal loans ect ... I am glad to be back
