  Last year, my husband and I decided to go on the journey of purchasing our first home. I decided we should go with Teachers Federal Credit Union for our mortgage, and it was a great decision! We met with Kayla Gabriellini to discuss everything from what they have to offer to what we can actually afford. Kayla made our experience easy, even when it felt it wasn't. She made sure that we understood everything happening, and she gave us peace of mind when things seemed rough. My husband and I have been in our home for almost 1 year, and I can honestly say I recommend TFCU and Kayla to all of my friends and family who are in need of a mortgage lender. Thank you again for a wonderful first time home buying experience, Kayla!

  Please note that I've only been to this physical branch one time to see our Loan Officer Kayla. When we went there (late 2020) the place seemed clean. There was a plexiglass barrier between my us and Kayla; hand sanitizer was available and everyone was wearing masks. However, the real positivity comes from how responsive, efficient, and professional Kayla was. Whenever I sent an e-mail there was a response very rapidly. If I had any questions she was there to assist me (and there were plenty!) Sending them documentation was a breeze, especially since we had a bit of a snag on the seller's end and had to send updated documentation. We'd highly recommend TFCU, especially Kayla, for your mortgage needs. And we got a fantastic rate as well!

  Had to laugh when I saw the response to a previous reviewer's concern that no one would let her child used the bathroom. I have had the same exact experience. The customer bathroom has had an out of order sign on it for years. What could possibly be the explanation for that? I'd love to hear the owners response to that. The Holbrook branch has a bathroom available for use to it's members at all times. Not having a restroom would be more understandable then having one built for public use with a consistent out of order sign. It sends the wrong message to people who have all their money in your bank which you profit off of yet fail to invest the money to repair a bathroom. *Update* - Was there yesterday and now the sign says employees only. Doubt it was ever out of order to begin with. Great way to treat members!

  Stole my money! For now the Secound time ruined my thanks giving I went to put 960 In bank I flashed in camera this time Bc before this they had took 250 from me now settled at 200 so as I put 960 in it spits back the 60 a lady was bugging out for me it took my money and said retained now all thanks giving with my family my minds on this in bad mood Crying on thanks giving this is horrible

  Push doors and hand sanitizer not available until you are called. I asked and employee to please put some out on table where we fill out out papers. Was not done. No drive up and the left outdoor cash machine always on the brink.

  Don't bank here with young kids. Especially at the South setauket branch. I was forced to run outside when my three year old had a potty emergency and no one would let him use the bathroom. I am off to chase

Unfortunately, our restrooms are behind the employee area with access to sensitive information and monetary instruments and as a financial institution we do have to take security issues very seriously.
