Susquehanna Community Bank Reviews

Joel Stoltzfus5I've been banking here since opening a Junior Savings account. I've had accounts with multiple other banks in the nearly four decades since and have never found one that matches in terms of service or fees. It is a small town bank with the personal touch one might expect and yet big enough to serve a wide range of needs.

jody phanouvong1Don’t waste your time with this bank! We paid our camper off the middle of September and haven’t received the title yet. I called the bank twice about it and they kept blaming the state. So I decided to call the state and come to find out the bank never released the title when it was paid off 😡 Someone didn’t do their job!

Nathan Wormuth1I strongly suggest anyone banking here to find other opportunities. Being a combat veteran and caring about local jobs and putting back into the community I decided to get a $45,683.00 loan for 84 months from this establishment. Fast track 2.5 years down the road and I have nothing but complaints and regrets. There is a terrible human being that works here that goes by the name of Keith Downing. A year into the loan I started making larger payments. As making larger payments I thought maybe I could come up a little short some times or miss a payment and have the interest taking off what’s already been paid. Then Keith would call and say “make some kind of payment” and I would. So some kind of payment was wrong because he should of said make full payments. Note that at this time I’ve paid more than half the loan off. So after writing a review and having a very nice lady call me and talk to me and straighten everything out I deleted my old review. The lady took into account how far ahead I was and I told her I had no intent of not paying it off just sometimes it’s hard to make a payment. I said if I’m not making a paying take the interest off what I already paid, why charge a late fee that’s more? Which brings me to this point right now. I have sent the bank my correct address and they still send mail to my parents house. I do not see my parents very often because I work a lot. Anything that I ever got sent by mail I never received for several weeks. Like I said I did write my correct address on a payment sent. They received it because guess what they cashed the check. Also every envelope I send has a return address. My address is also on my checks. So at the beginning of this year Keith took back over my account. In short this guy is a real gem. So to sum up my credit I’ve never missed a payment. I am now 299/308 and lost over 50 points of credit. Keith also went and undid everything this nice lady did. The last time I talked to Keith he asked me if I was drunk. Like 9am on a Monday I’m at work buddy. Also some of the payments he has marked as late I paid. Overall 2.5 years a 7 year loan paid, loss of credit, a lot of hard time and stress, poor customer treatment, and a veteran wondering why he fought in 2 wars for people like this. Plus I only made this google account to leave a review for this place. If I can keep a couple people from going through this same thing then I’ve made a difference

William Stamm Jr1Only 1 stat because I cannot rate you lower. My fiance and I approached the Mifflinburg location about some notary work she required. We were greeted with condescension and derision because we deigned to inquire about notary work and are not regular customers of your institution. When the snotty brunette asked us to wait while she checked to see if the notary was willing to do work for nonmembers. If you don't wish to work with us lowly nonmembers, you might not want to advertise that you do notary work to the public. Incidentally, we are also shopping for a mortgage in the near future. I wouldn't count on us darkening your door again.
Response from the ownerThank you for contacting us. Our goal is to provide a better banking experience. While our branches do have notaries, we only offer those services to our bank customers. We do not advertise ourselves as a public notary, and apologize for any inconvenience. We suggest you check with your financial institution to assist you with your notary needs.

David1This is a very cheap bank to have a mortgage with. They don't even provide return envelopes for their mortgage customers. Chris is the only good thing about the bank.
