  Closed my account after 10+ years of service with lovely SCCU. I’ve heard absolute horror stories from other friends and family who’ve banked with them who have gotten completely screwed over. I figured nothing has happened to me personally so I’ll continue to bank with them…..WELL, I was wrong. My credit will now be dinked due to a 33.67$ charge off that not one employee cared to share with me while I was in at least ONCE a week. Extremely rude tellers and impatient staff were displeased to tell me after paying the write off I can reapply for an account!! HA! Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere. I learned my lesson the hard way.

  A day and a half, and I still don't have an account. Why do I have to apply, to give you my business? Filled out the on line "application" got an email requesting proof of residency, emailed that back, and went by after work. No help there, now I'm out $50 dollars that I used to open the account, because there is no account.

  Rude tellers at the drive thru when it's closing time at noon I guess. It used to be 1:00 but apparently you changed it. Except on your automated recording when you call the bank. I ended up talking to someone and informed them about the wrong information. So, yeah, I did your job for you. , so don't be so crabby at closing unless you have your times right.

  We have banked with SCCU for over 30 years. Loved them up until a few years ago. I feel the last President was the issue. We recently had an issue that was addressed with a manager within an hour. We also received a hand written note from the current President. Both my husband and I were impressed. I had thought of leaving SCCU but at this point we are staying! There are many WONDERFUL people that have worked there for many years. Thank you for restoring my faith in a local financial institution. Side note I worked at a bank for 11 years and know it's not always easy! Thank you Tim!

  I'm not sure what all these bad reviews are, I have loved my experience with Superior Choice. They've been my credit union for over 10 years and I have nothing but good things to say about them. I bought my house through them, my Husband bought his car through them, we do all our banking here and have had zero issues. Love SCCU and highly recommend them!

  Online banking will randomly lock you out, when it's not doing that the system "can't validate your account." I just spent 20 minutes trying to re access my account only to get locked out a second time half way through.

  Systems are constantly down. My school said my emergency fund was transferred to my bank account and confirmed it was the correct account. It doesn't even show up there as pending. I have had this issue non stop because of either maintenance, upgrades, power out, or systems down. I get it but this happens CONSTANTLY. I have had my money not appear or show up for DAYS with the phone worker not knowing what to do. I HAVE BILLS WITH DUE DATES. Recently I donated $20 to a well known charity that my sister does and without an email, phone call, NOTHING, they turned off my card and froze my account. The girl said that the fraud card people had to contact me and I couldn't call them directly. She said it would be a few minutes and it took HOURS. I left and got a new bank. TERRIBLE. Also, HUGE late fees and overdraft fees. $120 for their own fault and I never got paid back.

  I’m done with SCCU. Poor treatment, horrible service and lack of communication. Predatory practices and lack of care for the local community. People use credit unions for their reputation as less predatory than big banks—SCCU sure ruins that reputation for themselves and other credit unions. You are the worst bank/business I have ever worked with. I sure hope one day the consistent horrible reviews catch up to you and you eventually change or go out of business. It’s to the point that it’s a running joke in Superior how awful SCCU is.

  90 plus years of screwing their members. I was a member of another credit union while i was in the Army, they knew how to treat their members. Not SCCU
