Sunrise Banks Reviews

Hannah McFarland3I've had an account with them for a little over a year. I love that they're a certified B corp and participate in the local communities, HOWEVER, trying to get ahold of someone on the phone is basically impossible. The website doesn't provide direct numbers to each branch and the general number it does give you puts you on hold FOREVER if you have a generic question. Every time I've had to interact with someone in a branch, they've been rude and unhelpful as well. I'll be keeping my account for the time being, but am already beginning the search for a new bank.

Fan Cox1Avoid at all cost! We have a small business loan with them. The amount of work we have to put in to work with them is ridiculous. Very unprofessional and disorganized. Their work flow is a complete mess. There is no consistency or clarity during communication. Nobody seems to know anything there. As a customer, we felt like we are just a ball that gets kicking around, even for the smallest question. Online banking does not exist (even though they will tell you it works, but after 2 months of investigation they will tell you sorry it actually doesn't work: you are stuck with paper statement every month) Also, this bank will pull your credit without authorization. We already filed a dispute and will involve lawyers if needed.

Carolee Mengel-Jefferson3My accounts are regularly closed or suspended because they feel i have irregular spending habits. I was on my honeymoon and in key West i had no money only my card and had limited time to shop. It took 3 calls at least 30 min each and it was finally done as my bus pulled off to leave 3 hours later. This is not the first time either. This past weekend it happened to. They are a decent bank but horrible with debt issues.

Bellissima1This bank has been the worst banking experience ever. This road trip experience is the final straw. I guess the card is not working properly and we are on our way back home, so yes I understand these things happen but what really irritated me was the last place I went to get gas the machine told the ladies to confiscate my card! I figured fraud alert no problem I will call them. Oh they are only open mon-fri 9-5. I guess I will have to wait specially since it's Saturday morning and I was stranded in Wisconsin needing to fill up for the Last time before getting home. Thank God I was smart enough to open another account after the first few problems such as purchases being denied because I exceeded my $200 daily transaction balance while my acct has a few thousands $$ just sitting there . I called several times to have that change and yes it will be changed for 24 hrs and then return back $200. I requested it to be increased permanently and well... Yes the people at the bank are really friendly but I care about my banking experience and they are way behind on time. I don't bank 9-5 and if anything happens after working hours you're basically screwed. It's no wonder everyone in my school is switching to a bigger name bank. I'm so over this bank!!
