  After many of years of trying and countless broken hearts my husband and I were ready to give up on our dreams of ever owning home until we were referred to Sheldon and are now days away from closing on our first home!! Not only did Sheldon go above and beyond to ensure we were able too obtain the best loan possible but he also took the time to educate us on the entire process. Both Sheldon and his Loan Processor, Lisa are are an amazing team. They went out of their way to keep us informed of where we were in the process and were always available to answer questions or offer an encouraging word. I truly believe that without Sheldon and Lisa we would never have been able to obtain home ownership. Not only are we days away from closing on our first home but because of Sheldon and Lisa's hard work we had a two week escrow! I would truly recommend Sheldon to all those thinking of purchasing a home regardless of if it is your first home or tenth home. Thank you Sheldon and Lisa. I can not believe we are officially homeowners!!

  Sheldon helped me and my mom with a loan with a rental property. Together we have some fairly complicated financials and LOTs of paperwork! But Sheldon and his team were awesome. They were super communicative and helped walk us through expectations and the necessary steps to get the loan done super quickly (the seller had ask for a short escrow in our negotiations). I knew right from the front what to expect with closing costs and Sheldon sent frequent video updates explaining the cost analysis and potential benefits and cons of purchasing point, locking in the interest rate etc. 5/5 for being efficiency, communication and knowledge!

  I will only use Sheldon Cooney for all of my Mortgage needs now and in the future. This is the second time I've used Sheldon at Stanford Loans; the first was for the refinancing of my home and this time it is for the purchase of a new home. So I have used Sheldon for two types of loans and Sheldon has always kept me informed all the way through the loan process. The loan process could be very stressful when dealing with and understanding all of the requests for information/documents but Sheldon takes the time to keep you updated throughout the process, making it as stress free as possible. One of the ways he does this is with a personalized video email. He sends you the documents/information he needs you to understand along with the personalized video explaining the information for you while you look at the documents. Do yourself a favor and when in need of a Mortgage Lender, use Sheldon Cooney at Stanford Loans.

  My Fiance and I are first-time homebuyers. That being said, we did not have any experience or knowledge on how to start or where to begin. As we started seriously looking for homes, our Realtor connected us with Sheldon. He was quick to respond to all of our questions even when he wasn't working on the weekends. We made a deal on our home that required a quick close and both Sheldon and Lisa were on top of it. Sheldon and Lisa made our first-time homebuyer experience stress free and enjoyable. Highly recommend working with them!!

  I am about to close on my first home and could not be happier with Sheldon and his team's handling of the financing. I was unsure where to even begin with getting financing for a home, but Sheldon guided me through the entire process. He broke down the number for me very clearly (which is a feat- I am not good with numbers) He and Lisa were always quick to answer any questions that came up and maintained constant communication with my realtor throughout escrow. Being a home-buyer in this market is stressful enough- I am grateful that I never had to worry about this aspect of it!

  Sheldon and his partner Lisa are very professional and easy to talk to. They were helpful throughout the whole home buying process and we’re always available when we needed them. Sheldon made things easy for us to understand with his website layout and prerecorded videos that he used. I would definitely recommend this team!

  Sheldon and Lisa for Stanford Mortgage were great to work with and truly made the experience seamless. We did not use a realtor because the seller sold to us directly, but Sheldon and Lisa still made the experience easy and were supportive the entire time.   When my fiancé and I were ready to buy a home, we had no idea where to start in terms of looking for a lender or a realtor. We started asking our friends who they trusted and could rely on to get the job done, and more than a few of my friends and coworkers had recommended Sheldon Cooney from Stanford Mortgage. The thing that impressed me the most with Sheldon at the start of our buying process was how much he cared about providing us with knowledge on how we could become educated buyers. This was our first home that we were looking for, and it was a relief knowing we had someone who genuinely cared about our well-being rather than just making a sale. Sheldon walked us through getting pre-approved, had us take a home buyers course, and was ready to help serve us whenever we needed an assessment on how much we could afford on a certain home. Fast forward to today, and we're about to move-in to our very first house. It's a surreal feeling, and it's truly been a wonderful experience knowing we had a great team in our corner. We will only be using Sheldon moving forward when it comes to purchasing homes or refinancing, he's provided top quality service and I wouldn't send anyone anywhere else. I sent my friends to Sheldon back in October 2019 and they had the same experience with him when they bought their house. Also, Sheldon was able to help us close on our house in 25 days, we thought it was going to be much longer than that but he was on a mission to get us in our house. I can't thank you enough Sheldon, it's been such a privilege to work with you. Darci and I are over the moon about our new house!
