  The bank staff are extremely friendly and helpful. I have had the pleasure of interacting with Melanie so far. I am also one of the first few enrolling through a new process. There were a few typical kinks, which is expected, but nothing that wasn’t fixed as quickly as possible. I am very pleased with my experience thus far and would recommend SSB to any friends or family.

  Slovak Savings Bank: "The 'small neighborhood bank' with a big bank feel" aka horrid communication, condescending attitude, unprofessional demeanor. I dealt with an ill-natured loan officer named Heather D. who could not have been less helpful. You'll get better personal service dealing with HSBC or Bank America. Needless to say I got a mortgage loan from another bank. Worst banking experience ever. Avoid!

  SSB Bank is awesome! We bank at the Northside branch and always receive service with a smile. They handle all of our banking needs flawlessly and they treat you like a member of the family. SSB does great things for the community too. We are lucky to have SSB in Pittsburgh.

  We approached SSB at the recommendation of our attorney. We had issues with other banks providing us with a critical line of credit. This was 3 years ago. SSB not only provided the line, but has always been willing to work with us to find a way to work through our need for capital. Our business would not be here if it were not for them. It is banking the way it used to be. You actually work with a banker, not a salesperson disguised as a banker who takes your application and submits it to underwriting. I can't thank SSB enough.

  I used to have a lot of money in that particular bank until you opened McCanDless and lowered all the rates for your money market. I had to move it to another bank after it was in there for years.
