    2 years ago I left a 2 star review- and it still stands today. This bank is pretty useless. I just kept my account open barely even using it hoping things would get better- but its just not. Spire boasts that you can bank all over the US- but ONLY for withdrawals an deposits. Their lot loans are an absolute joke and they can only do "Big Business" in MN and WI. I am very grateful I do not hold any of my business accts with this bank and I will most likely be closing my acct. Whats the point of having a business relationship with a bank if they can't contribute positively to the business relationship? From their handling of Covid, to their live action banking, to their financing- absolutely useless. I am a successful business owner of 13 years, have excellent credit and have worked hard to build my investment and asset portfolio- SPIRE has repeatedly shown me that I am not worth their time and is a waste of my time.

    Came in to wire money. While here, I asked if I could use the bathroom. The teller told me it's not a public bathroom. I had to leave, and go to a hotel across the parking lot to use the bathroom. I'm a member here. If anyone comes in from the street, I can understand that, but I'm a member. Huge thumbs down.

    Being a customer for 20+ years, I'm a bit confused about the negative comments about this credit union. If there's one thing I've learned about online reviews- when something goes wrong people rush to the internet to express their "outrage". When things go well nothing is said. People also tend to exaggerate their negative experiences online as there really is no recourse. That being said, I've had nothing but good experiences with Spire, even back when it was Twin City Co-ops Federal Credit Union. I've never paid an overdraft fee in 20 years, because I didn't spend what I didn't have. (My line of credit on my checking was there just in case!) Loan rates and terms are very competitive. The rate on my Spire Visa is less than 8%. No other lender can touch that rate and my credit score is well above 750. Keep in mind a credit union sometimes has tighter lending restrictions than a commercial bank would. This applies to most if not all credit unions. Commercial banks are a waste of time when a credit union is an option. How could anyone feel good about supporting a large commercial bank? Keep it local, try Spire.

    Not sure about the reviews regarding bad customer service. I’ve been a member since 1981 (as Twin City Co-Ops Federal Credit Union) and have done business at many different locations and can honestly say I have NEVER had bad customer service at ANY of their branches. Which leads me to question those reviews. As far as fees, they have some of the lowest in the industry, so those comments are also from either inexperienced bank account holders or misinformed banking customers. Don’t take my word for it, do your own research, it’s not difficult and you will learn for yourself that some of the most competitive and lowest fees out there can be found at Spire.

    I felt profiled and treated as if I was a liar. Moving to Minneosta has been an life altering lesson regards to status and ethnic issues. I will be closing my account and I will not bank from Spire CU any further. I am Mexican AMERICAN and I deserve better class of customer service especially when I prove fraud claims on my debit card from other companies where it was used. The Branch Manager was the most disappointment out of the Woodbury location.

    We took in a trade in from a customer that had a loan through SPIRE. We Paid his loan took, took in written proper documentation that we could request the lien release be sent to our business location, this was all done in person at the Woodbury location in May 2018. We came back to the same location were we paid the vehicle off, and asked if we could get a lien card since we never received it.We showed all the proper documentation that we were the new owners of the vehicle, we got a run around stating that now the customer has to come in. SPIRE should inform its employees the information it gives out, so that no one is running around.

    Everyone is always nice and caring! Spire has been the best ever since i opened accounts here. I recommend this bank over any large bank cooperation!

    I opened my accounts at a different spire branch however the Woodbury location is awesome. Never a bad experience and they're always helpful when I make deposits.

    Had a loan there for a year always had good service . Now I go there to deposit money to a member credit union. They always treat me nice Dan

    Very eager to make their money from fees. I am really disappointed in their lack of customer service. They seem desperate for money. They don't even care that I'm leaving their bank because of this.
