  This is my second time using Allen and he has been an absolute pleasure to work with.   I had a wonderful experience working with Allen and the entire Southwind Mortgage team! We were having issues with the builder not starting our home within the agreed timeframe in our contract, which almost caused our mortgage agreement to expire. Allen worked tirelessly to make sure we were able to close on the home on time! I'm so thankful for all he's done! Now we're able to enjoy our brand new home! Thank you Allen!

  Of the five homes I’ve owned, this was the most effortless and smoothest closing process I’ve ever experienced. Allen was no-nonsense and kept the process moving along nicely. I signed most of my documents electronically, which eliminated the print and fax monotony. I felt confident at all times that Allen was going to see the process through.   Just want to write and say that Allen and his office staff have been wonderful to work with in obtaining mortgages for me over the years. I am getting ready to use this firm for the fourth time because of their professional and accurate service. I work in the medical field and recommend this company to everyone! Allen has gone out of his way on several occasions to make sure my paper work was finished on time. I never had one problem. I was never over charged and even on my last purchase was truly impressed by this company. Trust me, Allen will work hard to make sure you are happy with the end results. It truly was a pain free experience! 6/16/17 Update: I actually based the above review off of my experience from four years ago. Allen had reached out to old clients to write a review. This past week, Allen was unable to get the paper work together for a bid on a house where I was in competition with three other buyers. Hour after hour, day after day I waited. If I talked to him he said he was " working on it." At one point he said he had the pre- approval letter ready. It wasn't sent to my realtor. By the way, I had no trouble lining up a pre-approval letter with a nationally known bank in a few hours after my upsetting experience with this company but it was too late for the house I had my heart set on.

  This info is not based on exactly what happened. Ms Shields had credit issues and I asked to get them corrected before any home became available. Needless to say she did not listen. I worked very hard to get her credit corrected but in the short time available I could only get to a score short of what she needed. Not my fault she lost the home, there were better offers.
