  I had an account in the red that I needed to pay off, so I took my first check there to cash it, and I was told that I could, as long as I put half of it toward my account. When I tried to do that (I had already signed the check), I was told by the manager(?), in a very rude and condescending manner, that I no longer have an account and that I can't. I received no apology despite being initially misinformed by the manager. I went to Tennessee State bank and had absolutely no problem.

  Horrible bank. Incompetent employees. "ownership" of an account means nothing here. They allowed my daughters savings (an account I owned) to be closed out and all the money was either pocketed or put in another account without my permission or even notifying me. When I asked them what happened I was told I signed an agreement allowing this.
