  The only reason why this branch gets a 1 star is because there’s no option for 0 star! Before management changed this was my go to branch I’d never have anxiety about going into the branch alone without my husband. Today I had to wait almost an hour in the branch on Saturday morning and received no service at all. Everyone including the branch manager pretended they couldn’t see me… perhaps I blended in with the “black” chairs in the lobby! After an hour of non service I left because I wasn’t worth their time apparently!! If you are person of color stay away from Whitney branch to protect your mental health and sanity!! No one deserves to be treated like they are a second class citizen - some advice to Whitney Branch - we are all hardworking citizens and make honest livings despite of our skin color and everyone deserves to be treated with dignity and respect.

  My dad that is home on hospice accidentally deposited a check without endorsing it. Instead of calling and asking him to come sign it, they snail mailed it back taking 9 DAYS to do it. On the initial call they said they mailed it and it would arrive in 3 day max. The postage indicated they waited 3 more days to mail after the call. They overdrafted his account for the entire time. TERRIBLE treatment of customers.

  Took over an hour issuing a new debit card inside the branch. When I went to activate it there was an error. Return to the branch and they call the same number I call to see that it won’t activate but wait the lady has to call IT support to get her password reset first, then call the activation hotline back again. I listened to the 80 seconds of menu options four times at that point. The employee says the card wasn’t set up correctly the first time. Amazing that a team of 5 people can’t do in an hour what an automated phone program can do in one minute.

  Have you ever heard of a bank not having $300 in quarters, here at SSSCU they don't. I have never ever in the 4 years we have banked here have received great service. Sad they will lose my business over not having quarters. This was the last straw, how unprofessional. Do quarters expire? Do they devalue or take to much too space. You're in the business of money, have it when it's requested.

  Hi Franklin, our branch maintains a supply of coins that allows for our weekly transaction volume. Any requests outside of this would require a special order. Members are more than welcome to work with our branch management team to order a specific dollar amount. While the request may not be immediately available, we can work to accommodate within a reasonable amount of time. Thank you.

  From start to finish this is a great place. The receptionist Linda w/the gleaming smile in her eyes, & fuchsia glasses is quite lovely. And Mrs. Keri Miller was the Sr. member rep that opened up my saving & checking accounts. She is so pleasant & gave me great info regarding my accounts & a secure credit card. As well as secondary savings account under my primary one. And opening a savings account for my baby girl after she is due. :) it is a $40 one time donation to open an account if you are not associated w/silver state schools or have a family member who has an account w/this credit union already.

  I have never really had a issue with this bank they always helped me get money and make money!!!! Helped me build my credit and a CD account!!! The reason I gave 4 stars. They have long waits in line and also the employees count money way to loud. Like I dont need to be robbed in the parking lot.

  They charge $20 to cash a check that’s issued from their bank if you do not have an account. My son got a $100 check for his birthday from his grandparents and they charged him $20 to cash it. Wow!!

  Cannot log into with web site. Calling for help has a very long wait time. Help was not helpful. Still unable to do on line banking. Now charging for checking. No help. Not enough banks. Must drive far to visit.

  Well I sure was surprised to see rude staff and out of touch people at a bank.... Well here it is. As rude and slow and unknowledgeable as I have ever seen a bank be. Dont waste your time

  Terrible website. Hard to transfer money to another member. Also POP money sucks! Needs Zelle!
