  This is by far the most beautiful hike I’ve been to in this part of California! I personally had the best experience when coming here in August, when the wildflowers are blooming:)

  Really impressive spot. The hike up isn’t terribly hard on paper, but altitude makes it significantly more challenging than you’d expect. I did this hike in the summer and the heat also played a role. We also saw a rattlesnake on the way, so use caution. The views and scenery from the summit is well worth it.

  This is a hike that is a must do! Let me add, it is not as hard as it seems. Even those who thought they were afraid of heights in our group made it to the tower... One step at a time. The view from the top is awe inspiring. It makes you feel closer to the creater, pure bliss! Pick a weekday, or start early on the weekend. The parking lot is unpaved and small... If everyone parks efficiently thinking of others you might get 20 cars. Get plenty of water. Keep hydrated and enjoy!

  The closest you can get to standing in the clouds and looking down on the amazing view to Sardine Lakes. This should be on everyone's bucket list! Didn't want to leave!

  Beautiful Place to hike.We started at 4,00 elevation we had 3,300 elevation gain.Its worted when you get to the top.

  Awesome trail, end of trail with stairs bit scary for my 9yr old daughter. We did it in 2.5 hours. The views from top is breathtaking.

  Don't follow the direction that Google Map is recommending. This road was super rough. There is actually another smoother route you can take to get there: Continue on 49 until you hit Bassetts and get on Gold Lake Highway. Then get on 621. I attached a photo of this other route and it looks like you'd have to go around BUT the rough route took us almost twice the time because we literally had to crawl to get there. Red arrow is the start of the trail but you can continue on to the end where the map suggested to get a "shortcut" to the Lookout. It was so worth it but I wished I knew this smoother route sooner (we took the rough route in and learned about the other one on our way out).

  This place was a great hike, 360 views of the sierras and beyond. Hike was moderate, but the view was outstanding.

  The most beautiful place 8500 feet above sea level! Well at least to me! I love this stretch of the pct!
