      I have recently opened an Auto Loan with this Credit Union. Unfortunately it has been nothing but a pain, they can’t set up checking accounts over the phone, even if they have you identified. Setting up online was fine, however due to some information that they have not matching my application was declined. When I called back, they can’t do anything for me, they have to send me over to a specialist. That’s fine but I have to wait another whole 24 hours, a big inconvenience. They make the process so inconvenient, it’s almost as if they do not want new members. I had heard good things about the credit Union, however now it’s confirmed it’s just that it’s not true. I would highly recommend going somewhere else for opening a new account.

      Worst decision we made was moving our auto loan here. When you call in, you don't get a person until jumping through hoops and long wait times. If you don't have your account number they will not look it up so you can make a payment (who won't take your money nowadays?). They now have an online option to make a payment, for $7 per transaction!! Trying to park to actually pay your bill is a nightmare. And they have no customer restroom. Do yourself a favor and call the Bank of Travelers Rest - best banking service I have ever had. Sharonview sucks.

      By far the worst experience I've had in 20 years. Their online portal is laughable. To say it is glitchy would be an understatement. If you're planning on using an outside bank to pay on your auto loan, don't. Their hours are very inconvenient if you work. Dont worry, you'll get repeatedly hung up on after you've waited half an hour on the phone already. I've never seen a bank be so inefficient before. I'm honestly shocked.

      The credit union has gave me a good apr percentage on my vehicle but every time I pay my bill wether on phone call or on mobile app it charges me a fee in order to pay my own bill, this isn’t right to customers and they're stealing money from the customers that are trying to pay their bill, wouldn’t recommend getting any type of loan through this credit union.

      I love this bank even tho they only have 2 locations here. They are patient. Some of the tellers make you feel like family. This is the best bank yet. It's easy and fast to open your account and you get your card right then and there.

      The most frustrating aspect of being a member is trying to get in touch with an actual human. After sitting in a phone tree, I drove to my local branch only to find that all local offices have been closed indefinitely due to Covid. Normally this wouldn't be that big of a deal but when I have a large cash deposit I need to make so bills don't overdraw my account, it is. Yes, I know they have 'partnered' ATMS, but think about that for a moment. Not only am I having to trust an ATM to properly register several hundred dollars bills after reading horror stories about ATMs not properly registering funds, it's not even a first party ATM so I am even less likely to be helped in the event of an issue. So I ask, how confident would YOU be depositing several thousands of dollars into a non first party ATM after having to carry around that much cash while a line forms behind you hopefully not all that interested in what you're doing?

      I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS BANK! I've been with them for at least 4 or 5 years, they have always been awesome. They know me by name and all, I HIGHLY recommend them to any and everybody.

      The downtown Greenville branch Was very helpful. The manager wasn’t able to fully assist me because I couldn’t wear a mask due to an underlying health condition. She went above and beyond and came outside to direct me to someone who could take care of the issue. I highly recommend this location. The manager is a prime example of Excellent customer service:)

      The Greenville downtown location doesn't even have a ATM to use outside. It's 2020. What bank isn't accessible to it's customer's afterhours?? Bank is literally useless. Closed on Thanksgiving AND Black Friday. Check funds not available until 8AM Friday morning, if you're lucky. Messed up my Thanksgiving and Friday shopping. Wish I could leave ZERO stars. One of the worst banking experiences I've ever had. Looking for a new bank ASAP
