SF Fire Credit Union Reviews

Louis Lazar1Completely incompetent. They wasted an hour of my time trying to open a checking account. First, the only person capable of opening an account for me wasn't present, and the tellers gave me inaccurate information that made me think I had not brought the correct documents with me. Then, the person who was opening my account was incredibly slow and seemed to not understand how to enter basic information. It took 20 minutes to input my housing history into their computer. Then, after I gave them my social security number, my mother's maiden name, my housing history for the past seven years, my employment information, my email address, a copy of my driver's license, and a copy of my lease agreement, the employee decides to choose that moment to tell me they check credit scores in order to open a checking account. How does that make any sense at all? I have a freeze on my credit to protect against identity theft, and never did I think I'd have to unfreeze it in order to hand the credit union my money. All I wanted was to open a checking account. My information to unfreeze my credit is kept safe at home. We could not open the account after an hour of them wasting my time with their incompetence. So, now they have all of my private information for no reason, wasted my time, and I have nothing to show for it. Unreal.

Cesar Espinoza-Perez4The outdoor ATM at this location took my debit card and my $200 cash deposit. I filled out the dispute form and after reviewing the ATM video they deposited the 200 into my account. They also agreed to refund the almost 200 in overdraft charges. I am still waiting for this to take effect. I have decided to keep my account open for the rest of 2018. Be extremely careful with the ATM. Now I will only deposit money with a human teller. I will give then 5 stars when they completely eliminate overdraft fees.

Mendez4Great customer service. Only complaint i have is trying to deposit checks. Deposit ATMs are far enough from each other here in the city. Glitchy website.
