Never been to this shop that looks like a miserable place to go to anyways but driving through Sevierville on 12/16/2020 (way after the election) and I noticed a gigantic trump billboard that said “paid for by Sevier pawn.” I decided to look into their reviews on here and I’m not surprised that a trump supporting business has such a bad reputation. Probably worth the extra 30 minutes to Knoxville to find a halfway decent pawn shop that doesn’t publicly support a sore loser. Best to spend your money at a business that was smart enough to not endorse a loser, Wall Street con-man.

By far the most disrespectful people you could meet. The woman in there is absolutely so disrespectful and that’s okay because people like her are the people that the man upstairs frowns upon. I should’ve listened to the comments that people have left reviews about them before I went in there but I obviously seen for myself and my 1 year old son and 5 month old daughter seen for their own eyes as well. Not that they can really understand but at least they will know to never act like or treat people the way they do in that store. I will never be back. Doesn’t deserve a star at all but have to put one to post this review.

I was treaded like i was worthless here!!!! I went in to this store on 1/8/2016. I had a few sliver pieces, a gold coin, a misprint $1 bill and some blue and red label $5s that I had inquired from my grandfather a few years back. I came in with intentions to see what the value of the items was and possibly sell for the right amount. First was the silver pieces. A really nice younger man was checking them out and determined that the silver pieces we're just plated coins. (magnetic) To me wasn't a big deal just sacked to find out they was just plated silver. He then checked the gold coin by scratch testing it and it came back real. Now mind you I have the gold coin in a protective plastic case. At this point I'm assuming the owner walked in, and began to help me with my items. It all started when she treated my items like they didn't matter and had no value by dropping them tossing them around on the counter. She then asked what I wanted for the gold coin. I told her I wasn't sure what it was worth. She quickly cut me off and told me she would let me know in 2 seconds. On a side note, she treats her employees like crap. There's an elderly woman that works there Named Grace. As the Owner removed her jacket, Grace offered to take it and hang it up. The woman then rudely snaps at Grace and tells her "I'm not handing it over the desk come get it..". After that she yells from her office to her other employees asking if they had scratch tested the coin already, witch had already been done. She then hits me with an offer that I assume was a reasonable offer. I told her to let me think about it and I would look at other items in the store to trade on. She then asked if I would like her to check out my silver pieces. I had told her I thought they was plated and wasn't of much valve but she insisted and asked if she could see one and check it out. Again when she is checking out my items, she treats them like they are worthless. She drops them and pushes them around on the counter. She then looks them up, scratch test them and weighs them. Some of the coins did not weigh what they were supposed to weigh and she immediately States they're fake and they're not worth anything. Then asked her if she would like to look at my misprint $1 bill and my colored fives. As soon as I removed them from the envelop, within seconds she determined they were all fake. Then she said to me "Now I'm 50 50 on the gold coin", she already made an offer on. With the same breath, "I didn't want to mess with any of it". She gathered up my items and slammed down on the counter and pushed them away. I told her to have a nice day and left.. Later that day I took the misprint $1 bill and the Colored $5s to the bank and they checked out real.. I am very unhappy with the way that I was treated at this place. She made me feel like I wasn't worth her time or the effort. Then with her not having the knowledge to know when something is real or fake she denied me service. She let business walk right out the door. I will not bring anything to this store as long as she is still running it.

Good pawn shop. I've dealt with them twice and both times there was somewhat of a line, but the workers are friendly and willing to haggle with you on the price. This place has some good tools for sale.

First of all, for those complaining about the way their items are treated, you were selling them right? It's friggin scrap to them, they don't care about the history of the items, this is real life not pawn stars. Geeze. This crew, including the owner, have saved my shirt countless times by giving me MORE than I expected on items. Yes, they didn't take everything I offered, but it's a pawn shop. I have had, and do have, items well over due that they hold off selling so I can pay later. It's family-like. One example I remember vividly is when I had to pawn my ps3 and it went out on the floor for sale because I just couldn't pay the fees on time. And when I could pay, they took it off the shelf and handed it to me and let me pay the fee instead of paying the marked up price it was for sale. You get out what you put in.

They told me because i had a felony they wouldnt serve me or my uncle who is 60 might i say and never had a bit of trouble in his life. Said they dont buy from crooks. Yes i was convicted in 2011 for something i did years ago. But grew up got me a business going. I walked out of the store came back in to find them mocking me and talking crap about me. They discriminated against me, and especially my uncle whos never been in trouble. I mean jesus they run it to check if its stolen. And i wouldnt bring stolen stuff in anyway. They did a criminal background check on me to sell a ladder. I will call a lawyer monday morn about discrimination, and if i cant get them my uncle can, telling an old man they wont deal with him because of my past and then talking crap about me behind my back. I deal with other pawn shops and recommend you go there they offer better service. They will hear from my lawyer.

Team is always kind, courteous, and fair. Shop is clean, and the employees always go out of their way to assist. If you read a negative review on here, chances are the person leaving it was/is the problem.
