krystal torres1I’ve had my account with them for several years and haven’t ever had a great experience. Now with the transition, it’s even worse. I’ve been trying for days to register my account online and nothing has worked. I was in que for chat with a representative and received no help. I was on hold for over an hour on the phone to talk to someone and nothing, asked for a callback and still haven’t heard back. I would not recommend using them for your financial needs, and I’ll be closing my account to open one elsewhere.

Tempo1Ever since the merger and becoming Schools First I can’t login to the banking app and I am being barred from seeing my funds or being able to access the phone app unless I am an employee. Terrible UI and all around awful service. Phone lines are automatically busy and straight up tell me that they don’t have any representatives to help with my problem. Highly do NOT recommend this amateur bank.

Scotia Sanchez2I loved this credit union when it was Schools Financial and I received great service for over 20 years. The transition to Schools First has created nothing but problems. Why on earth would a transition take place on the 1st of any month? Furthermore, the hours long wait in person and on the phone is inexcusable

Nancy P2I've never really had bad customer service. However , since the changes were made several months ago to the online banking I've had nothing but trouble. I couldn't print statements on one of my accounts, either had to go in and have a teller print it or just figure it out by looking at the transactions on screen. Very inconvenient as I live outside of town. It was supposedly fixed. Today I get an email saying statements are available but its showing only 2 days and it won't upload for any of my accounts. If this isn't corrected in a timely manner I will be changing to another institution. Beyond frustrating

Kuromi Ludenburg1I have been with them for years and customers service sucks. I always get direct deposit in my account and I went to cash my first check and I had wanted to take some money off and I also had some cash that I had wanted to deposit. So I cash my check, took some money from it and then I give the rest back to the teller with some small change that I had. She was like “Next time just give all at once, cause it’s going to be difficult to go back in” with attitude. I suppose to be able to deposit and do a transaction that is understandable to me is wrong. She was just being lazy. Calling customer service on the phone takes forever to speak to someone. I will be closing my account and take my business where they appreciate you as a customer.

thereborndaily thereborndaily2I thought this was a great Bank. I've been there for a couple years. I got a job in another city and had to close my account. Before my account closed it became a little bit overdrawn. I went in and paid the overdraft fees and closed my account. Shortly after that they sent me to check systems. I never wrote a bad check and in two years my account had never been overdrawn. I asked them to take me out of ChexSystems because it was paid quickly and they refused.

Tera Coupe1Takes over 2 hours to get someone on the phone. This is now my 4th day in a row trying to get a hold of someone. Then, finally!!! Someone answers and places me on hold for another 30 minutes. Seriously? Worst service! I’m not considering financing my vehicle with someone else cause I can’t get anyone to help me!!!! So mad.

Amie Hugi1Terrible experience with the integration into the new system. Little to no instruction, on a weekend, and now all the websites are down. Have not had access to MY account for 3 days, and today my Schools debit card DOESN'T work anymore and the new card can't be activated because the website is down. I will be closing my account Asap and switching banks.

Pedro Flores1When making a payment it's usually fast an easy. But when trying to get customer support it takes outrageous wait time. Usually spend 30 minutes to an hour on hold. Wish it would be a little less as my lunch is only 30 minutes. I tried to refinance my vehicle that i had financed trough them when I was starting my credit now that I had good credit they gave me the run around saying they couldn't refinance my vehicle. So I went else were and payed of schools financial and my new payment is now half of what it was !! I had no issues getting approval else where. Maybe they didn't want to loose that little extra money ? Hhmmm. Never again doing business here.

erik jens1As an acct holder in checking, savings, credit and multiple auto loans over the past 30 years, the change to Schools First has been a frustrating experience. Diminished online services and unfriendly in branch experiences over the past six months. The new name says it well, ‘Schools First’, customer service secondary. I will active pursue moving my accounts elsewhere. Done with this credit union.
Response from the ownerErik, we apologize for the frustration you are experiencing with the merger. We are working hard in trying to resolve the issues that have come up and appreciate your patience.
