      You must register with the Parish Library before visiting the light house. We didn't know this so we didn't get to see it.

      I'm from Port Arthur. I've viewed the lighthouse from the Texas side. It can be seen from LA 82, if you strain your eyes. I would love to visit it and go inside. These are pictures I have saved on my computer.

      Beautiful but neglected. Sad that this one will not be around forever unless someone jumps in to save it. Not easy to get to. You must first go to the Johnson Bayou Library and let them give your information to the guards at Cheinere. Then drive 17 miles to the gate where they escort you to another gate. Then it is a couple more miles down a gravel road to the stopping point and you are still 150 yards away from the lighthouse. You can only access it by crossing a bayou in a boat.

      I work here at the Cheniere LNG facility. Cheniere is going to restore the lighthouse in the near future. At least that is what I have heard. I hope they will also build a bridge over the small bayou to get to it. Best to bring an ATV so you can go around the yellow gate and down a gravel road. There is a small bayou to cross to get to the lighthouse. The picture attached is the way it looked in the beginning many many moons ago.

      It cool cant walk to it lot of grass not sure if there alligators so I looked at it from a distance I really wanted to go in it

      Tried to get to it, it must be behind the Texas refineries, in an unaccessible area now. Our GPS lead us to a factory gate.
