  I love this place so much! There is a lake beach, a playground, covered areas, picnic tables and grills. Also a bathroom! Very cool place.

  While this park is just minutes from our home, and it’s in an absolutely beautiful setting, it’s a little boring for a family. You can fish and there’s a boat ramp. But no playground, or volleyball or basketball courts. Would be nice.

  This is absolutely my favorite place by the river. It is never crowded and so beautiful and peaceful. We go every chance we get and fish, kayak, cookout and just have fun.

  We had a great family reunion down by the water at the pavilion. It wasn't our first time to do so and most certainly will not be our last!

  A fairly small park, but a nice place to go for a walk or a bike ride. Also a good place for water activities.

  This park has a sand beach and a roped off swimming area no deeper than three feet. They also have life jackets available for loan just hang them up when you are finished. I didn't get to explore the rest of the park but there is a boat ramp, playground, and restrooms. Cost is $5 a day for a car load, plenty worth it, pack a cooler and enjoy the day!

  Last night, January 9, 2021, Roaring River State Park was vandalized extensively. I believe this property is still Federal land, making the offences Federal crimes. There was a park attendant present in his camper, within 200 yards of the damage. How could he not hear the truck engines revving and tires screeching? Same question for the local Sherriff's office, just down the road. Unfortunately, there appears to be no local police, county Sherriff, or State authorities protecting this park, to say nothing about the Army Corps' hands off approach to it's mismanagement by noninvolvement.. One would like to think visiting a State Park on Federal Land controlled by the Army Corps is safe. Calls to local authorities remain unanswered. Am beginning to believe security is truly a concern when visiting... So, heads up! Please be mindful of your surroundings when visiting.
