  The woman who helped me with my account issues was extremely kind courteous and respectful the true definition of professionalism. This is by far the best bank I've had the pleasure of doing business with. Thank you RGCU !!!

  Do not ask for car loans here Rio Grande Credit Union. Months ago I paid off my car and they have been charging me the monthly payment for two months and they are overcharging my card for withdrawing the money without my authorization. I personally canceled the account in this bank and they told me that everything was ready and they charged the monthly payment for the car again. If you want to avoid stress, do not approach this bank. when you call they can't help you by phone but I have to spend my time because of their irresponsibility.

Without specific account information we can't be certain, but it sounds like perhaps you were making your loan payments from another financial institution via ACH? We'll need to look at your account, but it's possible you may need to stop those payments with the other bank or credit union your payments were coming from.   Having just relocated, and finding it frustrating to do things such as register a car, get a new license, and all the other things that need to be done, it was great to walk into a place and be helped by a knowledgeable and friendly staff person. I'm fussy about who I deal with and I'd been in and spoken to people in a couple of other banks, but I didn't feel they were suited to me. Rio Grande Credit Union met all my expectations and I'm happy I found them

  My transaction was done at the drive thru. The young man was very friendly, knowledgeable & fullfed my needs with no problems. Treated me with respect while being professional. I will recommend this Branch of the Rio Grande Credit Union to any & all family/friends. In these trying times it is nice to se an Organization to give Great Customer Service.

  Been with Rio grande credit union since 2000 and the first time I was judge by how I looked and the female didn’t even bother to look up my information for a car loan. But I gave them a second chance went to a different location and bam Same day got my car loan. I have sons one born 2001 the other 2003 and both of them got accounts there and also got loans there and a car loan from there. They been nothing but helpful since Alisa Villegas has been nothing but amazing and honest since day one! I always recommend people to go there. Been good to me I’m good bout sharing good experiences with good customer service and or products !

  UPDATE: Changed rating to 4 stars. A top person from Rio Grande called today and I expressed my concerns and he is addressing them. He is also going over all the night depository customers to make sure they did not overdraw their accounts and resolve that issue as well as in the future make sure it's posted branches are closed if they are struck with the virus. OLDER POST: Rio Grande Credit Union Lomas branch has not been open since Thursday 12/30/2020 nor Saturday 1/2/2021. I have 2 deposits sitting in the night depository. I have contacted them by phone and was told deposits in the night depository were being picked up Thursday and would be in my account and was told I'd receive a call back. Never got a call back nor are my deposits in my account. Have also contacted them through their website email 3 times and no response. They have no information about the Lomas branch being closed on their website nor is there any information at the building or drive up. I went down again this morning and no one is there still. Am not impressed with their lousy customer service. A call back would have been nice and a follow through for the deposits would have been nice as well. Just think of all the people who used your night depository and think the money is in their account and it's not. Very irresponsible!!!

  Applied for a loan to purchase a classic car. What should of been a good, happy experience, this cu turned into a NIGHTMARE. Kept requesting info, kept delivering info. Kept requesting & requesting. Instead of letting me know all at once what was needed, they played this game of asking for something, then something else. Very bad customer service. Will never refer anyone to this so called credit union.

  I have been banking here since 2013, and have referred several people to them for checking, savings, credit cards and car loans. One problem. If you can't go into a branch you probably won't get any amount of customer service. You can call, leave messages, etc. It took almost 3 months to get a credit card that was approved in 1 day! And my son went to get pre-approved for a car and they lost his application. I gave them 5 stars though because of Alisa Villegas. I was so upset and frustrated and she took care of the situation personally! She got him in his car the next day! She really went above and beyond to fix the situation!!

  Just like the burqueno I am I want every new Mexican to experience this great service the Rio grande credit Union has to offer so far I have not had any mistakes with my account and I am treated with care they even know me by my name every time I walk in I am. With a friendly face
