Kyle Shirley1Called to set up an account. They definitely were NOT interested. I told them I was interested in possibly transferring our business account to them and wanted to set up a meeting 4o speak with someone about their business accounts. The lady I spoke with said she sets up business accounts and that if I wanted to come in they could give me paperwork and brochures. I said I wanted to talk to someone not read pamphlets. Silence... so I said I'd look elsewhere and she said ok have a good day.

George Koprivica5I looked up this branch on Google.com and found the local phone number. The teller was very helpful - she offered to call me the next day to verify a check had cleared my account. She remembered my name and my coming into the bank in the past. Good Service. Very good Experience. ++++++++++++++++ At 9:15 A.M. same morning: Called 800 number on Regions bank statement. I went through a very long, boring automated options menu that was not helpful - I made a selection. Message: "Due to unusually high call volume. . . Offered to call me back in 11 minutes." More than 11 min. later - phone rang; I answered. "Click" they hung up on me! I went to Regions.com web site and sent an Email. This came back as an error message and directed me to call an 800 number to report the error. I did - and got the same 800 number I called that hung up on me. I happened onto local phone number in Google.com (this number should have been on my banking statement). SUMMARY: People at the East Alton Regions Bank are stellar. I'm 66 years old. I used to carry bags of money from my parent's business into this bank when I was a young kid when it was known as East Alton Bank. Years later, our family became good friends with the president of East Alton Bank and his family. The staff at Regions Bank of East Alton have always been courteous and kind. We have a history. I always left with a good feeling. Good People! In contrast, the parent company, "REGIONS BANK" should not be in business. I've never encountered a business that insulates itself from customers' contact in so many different ways. If REGIONS BANK can't answer the phone 15 minutes after starting time due to unusually high call volume, they should probably hire more operators - not my problem. . . If a business promises to call me back 11 minutes later then hangs up - if they make Email an option on their web site and respond with an error message that directs me to an 800 number that doesn't work, they don't want people's business - go to any other bank in town. . . there are lots of them!
