  My experience with Consumerdirect Mortgage was excellent. In particular, I wish to call out the excellent service I received from Joel Bolton who was the loan originator. As is typically the case, things get slightly messier as the process advances to underwriting, and as various other individuals begin to be involved it becomes necessary to stay very involved and READ EVERYTHING as, oftentimes, minor clerical errors can occur. That said, such errors as there were, Consumer directs team was diligent in following up with corrections. It really doesn't get better than that. I would definitely recommend their services.

  I had a GREAT experience with Charles & FirstBank! From the initial contact e-mail to Funding, it was a smooth process. I received a great re-fi rate, fair pricing, excellent customer services with timely responses and knowledgeable staff, and very easy to do the closing electronically even with a pandemic.   Recently got a home mortgage through consumer direct. It was a fantastic experience. I got a great rate for a 30 year fixed mortgage. All of the dealings that I had with the consumer direct associates were very professional and friendly. The website was very straightforward and easy to use when uploading documents. The follow up was fantastic. Everything went uncharacteristically smooth. Easiest mortgage I've ever dealt with!!

  In general, I have never heard anyone speak glowingly of a lender. They are simply a means to an end... or so I thought. I was discouraged by my realtor, family, and other lenders to enter into a transaction with an "online" lender. After all, we all know that online lenders are big & scary and just out to steal your hard-earned money. I found ConsumerDirect Mortgage and Charles Petruzzi via Costco. My wife buys everything there and thought, "why not a mortgage also?" I was skeptical... very skeptical. After trading several emails with Charles, I got the sense that he was a straight shooter, which I appreciated. He was honest, forthright, and not "salesy". He assured me that ConsumerDirect was not a big, scary online lender and was, in fact, a division of FirstBank, which was actually founded in my home state. Charles was there for us from start to finish. His responsiveness to email, text, and phone calls is far greater than I ever expected. If we needed him, he was there. This was, by far, the best customer service experience that I have ever had. Not only was Charles great, but his rates were consistently 0.25% lower than any of his competitors. The icing on the cake came as we were approaching closing. Rates had dropped since we locked in our rate, and while ConsumerDirect was not obligated to give me a float-down option free of charge, they did so anyway. Closing was as smooth as silk. There were no hiccups whatsoever from my lender. Do yourself a favor when seeking your next mortgage. Check out Charles Petruzzi and ConsumerDirect Mortgage. They are honest, efficient, and effective, and you will not regret your decision. I know that if I am ever in the market again, this is the first place I will look.

  What a pleasant experience I've had with ConsumerDirect, especially Charles Petruzzi and Robert Lease! Very professional and responsive to all of my concerns. We close exactly 4 weeks from the initial application with very reasonable closing costs, especially if you have a Costco executive membership.

  I'm a Realtor who typically uses a local lender. After 1 lender shot my buyer down, we went to another excellent lender I know. She had a very tough time trying to get them approved with the underwriters, this lasted at least a month. My buyer found Consumer Direct on the internet and applied for a the loan. We were overwhelmed that they were approved with their Underwriters once they submitted all their paperwork. I would recommend this company for sure. After 3 long and grueling, and very stressful month, the sale closed with flying colors with no problem. Thank you. My buyers are now living in their dream home

  U will be in excellent hands with Carlos Tavel. His support staff (Christina and Shannon) are amazing as well. I don’t usually leave reviews but my experience was exceptional. They are efficient, responsive, and work tirelessly on your behalf. I did a great deal of research and no other mortgage company came close. U too will be grateful!

  I am very careful with my money and very demanding of competence, accessibility, and responsiveness. I did a cash-out mortgage with Consumer Direct Mortgage, and every person I came in contact with, starting with Bill Hutto who will hustle for you unconditionally and ending with the prompt and professional closing attorney who comes to your house, was incredibly knowledgeable, responsive, and professional. I couldn't be more happy. Plus, after careful research, I'm confident I got the best rate available.

  Great rates, excellent customer services! Our closing attorney even asked who we used because he didn't have any issues with them, and wanted to make a note of a good company to work with. Joel Bolton was super helpful and responsive. Highly recommend Consumer Direct!
