  I would highly recommend using Ray and I know that he will be my first phone call when I need to do another loan. Ray was recommended to me when I was looking for an investment home. He was able to easily navigate some of my roadblocks to a traditional loan and he was licensed in multiple states. Which made looking for properties in different locations so much easier with the peace of mind that Ray would be able to help me navigate those different states . He made the processes simple and always had my back. I can not thank him enough for making sure that this was going to be a successful purchase. Ray was always available to answer questions and concerns.

  Cross Country Mortgage will be the only lender that I will ever use and recommend. Ray and his team did all of the leg work to make the transaction seem seamless on my end. With his in depth knowledge of lending programs he found me the lowest rate and best program to fit my needs. The sellers had an unrealistic closing time frame that we ended up being able to meet because of Ray. He picked a title co. that could meet the closing deadline, and he even drove the loan docs to the Courthouse to assure they recorded on time! What Loan Officer does that? I can not say enough good things about Ray and his team. If you want a Loan Officer that has many years experience in mortgage financing and is well connected in the local Real Estate/financing community then Cross Country is your lending company!

  Working with Ray was hands down the best part of purchasing our new home. I never thought I would say that about a mortgage broker, but Ray is amazing. He answers the phone every time I call which is rare nowadays. He gives honest advice about more than just our loan process. He was always quick to respond to emails with questions or concerns. I’ve never worked with anyone else who I felt genuinely cared about us as much as Ray did. He made the loan portion of the buying process feel easy. I felt like I could trust Ray from the first conversation I had with him months before we found a home to purchase, and he never let me down. You won’t find another mortgage broker as dedicated, knowledgeable, hard working, or trustworthy as Ray.

  Ray really goes the extra mile to do everything he can to help you through the mortgage process. He'll do everything he can to make sure attaining your mortgage is as smooth and quick as possible. As a first time home buyer, i'm grateful I had Ray's expertise to guide me through the process. He is an excellent communicator and always makes time for you to answer any questions. He's happy to meet in person as well. Sometimes it's the personal touches that make all the difference in this process. We're fortunate to have a local lender in the Columbia Gorge that really cares. At the end of the day, that's what really matters.

  Ray Broughton is a very trustworthy Mortgage Broker. Our loan took a while due to factors beyond Ray's control, yet when we hit the finish line our loan terms stayed true to Ray's cost analysis. Through the whole process Ray not only checked in with us to update the status of our loan but also to see how we were doing as well. That personal touch Ray showed us made us feel like we were in good hands....and we were.

  Ray is easy to work with. He communicates clearly and provides clear updates and options. We felt very comfortable choosing him as our lender and with the options he presented us with. Ray took the extra time to answer all of our questions with thoughtful and detailed responses. The secure system his company uses in conjunction with DocuSign made our experience fairly streamlined. We are so happy that our loan processing moved so quickly. From what we have heard we closed sooner than other loans of our type. Ray frequently offered to meet us at the office if we had questions or needed anything. As with any home loan the waiting is the hardest part, but Ray and his team helped us every step of the way. We would certainly use Ray in the future if the need arises.

  In what could have been a scary and confusing process (buying a home after a divorce), Ray's knowledge, attention to detail, and compassion made the process painless. I knew Ray was looking out for my best interest while he researched funding sources, met my very specific timeline, and took the time to patiently explain points of confusion. The icing on the cake was when Ray met me at my new home with flowers on the morning I took possession. I will highly recommend Ray to everyone I know who is purchasing a home. He is top-notch!
