Very frustrating, non empathetic, and mean representatives working for this collection center! I had a near death experience and was unconscious, when my fiance at the time called 911! I was bleeding internally and not able to "verify" that the ambulance company didn't take my insurance! After several months of being given the run around.... I received court documents pursuing a judgement against me. I was told by one rep that if I could get a letter stating I had coverage at the time of the ambulance ride then they could personally bill them. I'm on disability with limited income due to heart failure! Remind you I'm only 42 and have a nursing degree and all this started at the age of 34 with open heart surgery! VERY FRUSTRATING! So after contacting the Wyoming medicaid office to get the letter I discovered they would pay for the ambulance they just needed to be billed! However, the ambulance service in Colorado is a non participating provider and I was then informed by another rep that they do not bill for payment! I wasted nearly 3 months attempting to collect the letter from the medicaid office of which gave them the opportunity to pursue a judgement! After speaking with yet ANOTHER rep... I was basically told that I couldn't have possibly been under the impression they would bill medicaid from their office because they don't do that! I now have to pay a $1,300 bill because I wasn't alert enough nor thinking to ask if they accepted medicaid prior to them taking me to the hospital! Furthermore... Why would a corporation continue to sue an individual that had coverage at the time... Yet, no one was willing to bill for the payment!!!!

This is a joke of a scam company. They have no incentive to be polite or help you in any way and they know it. I was sent a fraudulent bill with my wifes name, my birthday, and a different social security number. They won't answer any questions and when you ask for supervisor you get sent to voicemail and nobody calls you back. To the people who choose to work at this place.... You can do better. There are plenty of jobs that aren't scams and you can contribute positively to society rather than being a blight.

This place has POOR customer service! I just got off the phone with them after having to call twice because the first guy was so rude. He had the nerve to ask me when I married my husband and I told him that's none of his business and a violation of my privacy. I have never been asked that question and it's none of their business if this is a shared debt or not. I demanded to talk to someone else and then a manager and the guy DID NOT do either and told me he was going to hang up on me because I was yelling at him, which he eventually did.

Stephanie, thank you for taking the time to provide us with your feedback--we appreciate your opinion. PFC wants to be sure that it is speaking with the correct person and is not releasing information to an unauthorized party and must verify the information in our system. Creditors provide this information so that only a party responsible for paying an account can discuss the account details. As part of our core values, we expect our collectors to treat every consumer with respect, professionalism and integrity. If you feel that the representative you spoke with fell short of these expectations, we encourage you to contact our Consumer Experience Team at [email protected]. We will review your particular experience and resolve the matter accordingly.

Contacted me for the first time asking for payment for a bill that's almost 4 years old and provided little information to me so I could verify that the bill is legitimate. Seems like a fragalant company as I have still been unable to verify that I owe any money. Update: tried to just pay to be done with this. 2 months after I called to pay, it still hasn't come out of my account. PFC can't even take payments correctly.

PFC violated my rights 1. Ignoring disputes 2. Not furnishing proof of debt in a timely manner (to date** not at all) 3. by serving an unknown party (No one in my hh received a summons), and not myself. This means information about me can be out there AND they did not give me opportunity to prepare a defense due to the improper service. I found out there was a summons issued against me because of a search that I did in the court database to find out whether or not my separation case was moving forward. When I saw that the case number was not the same, I immediately emailed and then called the court and ask them what this was. This is when they revealed that I need to show up at court, and they gave me PFC phone number. I contacted PFC, and they refused to send me the proof of debt unless I put it in writing, but this meant that there was no time for them to receive and respond to my request for proof of debt before court date. Meanwhile I disputed again, the alleged debt, with my credit bureau, and they found sufficient evidence to be able to delete it. I had to meet with the lawyer when I showed up to the court date that the court gave me, and the lawyer told me that the only reason why the credit bureau deleted it was because I asked for a dispute at least three times. I know that this is not even a true statement! Otherwise, everyone would dispute 3x everything (owed or not) and have 800 credit scores! Lol Also, I informed her during the disputes, I actually accidentally disputed something that was valid (due to my phone auto selects ALL), and that valid debt is still on my credit report and will remain on there until I pay it off. The fact that the lawyer misrepresented how disputed information, once investigated, works is concerning. Additionally, I feel that they may have deliberately withheld information, served the wrong person (violating FCRA by giving 3rd party my info!) if they even served anyone, and gave this false and misleading information in hopes that I would never know about the court date, and they would get a default judgment. I feel that I may not be the only person who has had this happen in the past. Their lawyer also suggested to me, that improper service, though illegal, only delays the processing that I would still be responsible for paying the alleged debt. I let her know that that is not what the law says at all, and also that I know that improper service can cause them to have their case dismissed. She then told me I would not be allowed to collect on any damages based on my defenses as aligned above. She has no way of knowing what I can collect on, and that sounds a lot like a thinly veiled threat to me. She then said that she was willing to do a continuance (or i file answer) to research this account further. However, she was supposed to have her burden of proof for her client already ready to go, because that is WHY they are there. Clearly, this is just an attempt to stall because they know that I have something on them. I have another court hearing in April, which she said is postponing the inevitable because she alleges I owe the debt, without proof. I was able to furnish evidence that no one in my household receive paperwork as appropriate, and, that I recently had the only adult in my household served with separation paperwork and I showed her the picture and his license, that my process server used. She then tried to state that my divorce service was their service. I said no look at the case number, it is different and I'm only bringing this to show you that my process server was able to successfully serve the only adult in my household, and what he looks like for your reference. The lawyer does not seem to be very experienced in FCRA laws, by telling me the things that she said. For these reasons, I asked her to go to the judge and vacate the Judgment request. She said that she was not going to do that that the most she could do was give me a continuance. I have every intent to ask the judge to dismiss their case and not entering the Judgment based on their violations of the law.

PFC and McKee are working together to steal money from people and both lie like rugs. For 3 years I have been trying to prove that a bill was paid. McKee claims they have no record of my hospital visit, PFC says they can not remove account, my insurance company needs a copy of the original statement and PFC keeps lying and saying they sent me a copy from McKee, yet mysteriously the copy keeps getting lost in the mail. They know the bill has been paid and is refusing to be honest and give me what I need.

About almost a year ago now, I was rushed to the er in an ambulance from north range behavioral health after I had a really bad allergic (or, that's what they claimed, though I know I ODed on it) reaction from an anti psychotic of mine due to them having me take more than I was on. Anyways, I was put on an IV drip with something to get it out of my system while I was in the ambulance and they stuck me inside a room for 5 or so hours making me have to wait and do nothing while they went through a couple minor tests (bloodwork) they did on me. Fast forward about 3 or so months later, in about early October, I got a bill from the hospital saying I owed them 1,000, which I immediately knew sounded fishy, due to the fact that the hospital I was at took Medicaid and it always payed for everything. Also, I had another experience about two years ago at that same hospital chain that was a lot worse, due to the fact I almost died because of something that happened. And, they did a lot more work on me, as well as taking me into a hospital room to stay overnight. Medicaid paid for that, so I thought it was a mistake and I left it alone. Fastforward another few months later. I never got another letter from the hospital staiting that I owed them, so I figured they forgot to charge my insurance but finally remembered what it was. I guess I must've been wrong, because I started getting calls from a debt collector, which kinda made me nervous. Now, I'm kinda paranoid, due to my mental disability of Schizophrenia, so I don't really like to answer my phone unless I recognize the number. Well, Everytime they called, they left a message that basically said something like 'Hi, this is professional finance company, a debt collector. Please give us a call back as soon as possible.' Then, they'd leave a number and that'd basically be it. They did that every single time, and they called at least every other day if not once a week. They were very pushy and vague. They didn't ever tell me what they were calling for so I didn't see the need to answer. Whenever I did, it was because I thought it was a call I was waiting for, like from my caretakers, something like that. But the odd thing is, most of the times I answered, there would always be an animated message that said 'not one is able to take your call right now. Please hold while I find someone to assist you', and I'd hear the hold music and I'd always hang up because if they couldn't talk to me in person I didn't see the need to continue doing that. About two days ago, I got another call from them. I answered, thinking it was someone else, and immediately this person asked me to verify my identity with all my information. She explained I owed 1,000 but didn't say why. I figured it was for the medical bill, so I explained I had Medicaid and to talk to them about it. She claimed they'd already billed them as well as another insurance company which was wrong. I only have Medicaid, there's no other insurance company that covers me. Plus, I think the bill I got would've said if a company paid it off, which it didn't. My guess is the staff at North range never gave them my Medicaid number and so they never had anyone to pay it to. She was kinda pushy and a bit on edge when I calmly tried to explain my side and how Medicaid should have paid it. She ignored me and just kept saying how they could work out payment options with me. I finally had to tell her I don't handle my finances my dad does and she said to have him call back as soon as possible, and it seemed kind of threateningly. It seems like a lot of other people here have gotten harassed by them due to medical reasons as well. I don't know what's going on or why they're doing it, but I hope they stop, because it's honestly starting to scare and stress me out. Me and my wife are disabled. We nor anyone for that matter should have to go through this.

Putting an account on someone's credit when it's not even supposed to be in collections. I've verified it with the company who it's from and I'm making payments to that company. You have destroyed my credit and your company is causing major distress in my life because of reporting incorrectly! I don't have the months it's going to take your company to remove this false information! Thanks for destroying my life because you don't verify accounts... And your phones don't work so can't even call to get this taken care of asap! I'm filing a complaint against your company to the FTC for violation of the fair debt collection practices!!!!

The operator attempted to add an almost $200 dollar “interest”. She then lowered the amount to an additional $50 of what was shown as the owed amount, and then became agitated with me when I stated I’d only pay the amount due. I’ll be monitoring if this actually posts or not because of other reviews, but my account was paid in full today.

Got a call month or more ago asking for my info, thought a scam. No Validation notice followed in mail (FDCPA requirement in 5 days). Now collections showing on credit reports. Hospital said $0 owed and that they do their own collections. The “professional” should be removed form their name as no notification or anything by mail.
