  I applied for a Rural loan back in August 2021, as a first time homebuyer, I had no idea of what to expect or the process. My loan officer was Durel Matherne. I can’t speak highly enough of him and his team! It took me several months, and many offers later before we found our forever home & closed on our home today! The process was so easy and he was there guiding me every step, answering every question. He is highly professional, & was determined to make me a homeowner. He is so easy going, easy to talk to about any concerns you may have & he will guide your every step and make you a homeowner too! Please call Power Mortgage and ask for Durel Matherne!

  Power Mortgage was outstanding throughout this process. There were certainly a lot of documents required, but the Power Mortgage team was very helpful in delineating and characterizing those document specifics. The team was also very knowledgable about how to direct me to various institutions to request the necessary documents. Excellent guidance to complete this process.   Wilson Smith is an amazing loan officer. His knowledge and experience is priceless. I always tell my clients that if he can't get it done, it can't get done.   My belief that buying a home would be incredibly complicated and difficult kept me a " Renter" for years! Imagine my delight when I contacted Power Mortgage and received the best treatment by a company as interested in getting me into my forever home as I was. Catherine Jung gave me a comprehensive explanation of exactly what I needed for success. She walked me through each step , answered all my questions and guided me past every obstacle that I encountered.   I can’t thank Dj Matherne at Power Mortgage enough for all his help with our loan process!!! Buying/Selling a house can be such a stressful process, especially when it’s done without a real estate agent!! Dj guided us through this process and answered any and all of our questions.   After applying for a loan on August 2, 2017 with this company (Power Mortgage) I'm actually just receiving a denial letter on January 8, 2018. The title company that was in charge of closing contacted me late September 2017 and asked if I heard from the mortgage company as they had made attempts to contact them but were not able to reach them. I made attempts to contact Wilson Smith who was the loan officer that I was originally speaking with and sending information, and also someone connected with Gold water Bank National Association DBA Power Mortgage (Stephanie Hamilton). My phone calls and messages left were never returned so I proceeded to get a loan from another company. I just find it amazing with my credit scores of 767, 714, and 708 that the issue stated on the denial is income insufficient for amount of credit requested, but I can get approved by someone else. Even on their website is a supposed customer stating that they were denied by other companies but Power Mortgage worked so hard to get them approved but no phone call was ever returned to me and I get a denial letter five months later. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere, these banks and mortgage companies have the ability to approve you it all comes down to if they want to or not.
