PNC Bank Reviews

ZADOCK JARVIS5If I could, I would give PNC 10 Stars! The 3 poor reviews that are displayed "got my goat" and I couldn't contain myself. Many years ago, the original bank was a small community bank (I don't remember the name) located in a small shopping center near Fullerton and Ashland in Chicago, convenient to my job site. The bank was absorbed by a larger bank during during turbulent times in the banking industry and a branch was opened in Franklin Park in the small shopping center across the parking lot from Jewel (Grand Ave.). This site was convenient to my home. That bank was absorbed by PNC and eventually they moved across Grand Av. into the defunct Blockbuster Video site where PNC is now. I'm just your average "JOE" with small checking and savings accounts; my only association with PNC. I can't even remember the prior bank names BUT what I do remember is that I've NEVER, NEVER, EVER had poor service at any of the bank's incarnations and as an "average" customer, have ALWAYS received nothing but FIRST CLASS treatment from ALL of the people who work there with whom I've had interactions. Like most customers of a business, "poor service" sticks in your mind and you don't forget it, even if it happened 50 years ago!

R S1I have been to this location twice. Thought the first might've been a busy day on the banks park. After the second time I will never go back to this location. Wait time is terrible in the drive thru. After waiting 20mins, pulling up to the screen, the teller asking me to wait a min as she tend to another customer, she forgot about me. When I buzzed the teller to what's going on she tried to cover up with a lie saying that line is closed and not working after all that. And still had the nerve to tell me to get in the next line which was a line of cars wrapped around the corner. She had nothing to say when I asked her then why the lane say open, why did she tend to cars in front of me and why did she tell me if I can give her a min to take care of the cust next to me. Terrible service here

Nicole Sarad5Manager Karolina stepped up to an issue I was having locating money from a loan that was lost in transaction. Ive tried handling this situation for over a month but the second she stepped up and started to contact others and help, the money was found and returned back to me. She didnt have to put so much effort in but I am SO greatful and very happy. WONDERFUL and understanding woman!

Shar2Customer servive is great but it's not a simple banking service. I explained I was looking for a place to just operate in cash. I was talKed into a fancy online virtual wallet service. My gut said no, but tried it anyway. A month later, I accidently overdrew . They charged a 35.00 fee even though I signed up for overdraft protection. The virtual wallet is a good tool but not for me. I visited a second time explaining this. I asked if they had another service. ANSWER: "Yes, but If you don't have direct depisit.. there's fee" Today , I'm deciding to just stick with my wonderful NAVY FEDERAL CREDIT UNION! I am at PNC to close my account. Guess what? There's a fee for closing because it's been less than 60 days... ridiculous! a fee for taking my own money out! Good thing Joann was there to help me , she reversed a fee which started this whole negative experience! She's great! I would recommend her to bank with, but not PNC.

Sean Johnsom1Terrible bank, Branch manager was rude and kept only taking young female costumers only. They need to promote the teller supervisor instead.
