This branch is very unorganized & I know it’s due to the manager Chris. It took him almost 2 weeks to open up a business account for me & probably longer if I wouldn’t have closed it today. I was wanting to deposit a really big check & I told him this was time sensitive however he still didn’t consider that & kept poor communication throughout the entire process. I wouldn’t open an account here with him he will have you waiting because honestly I don’t believe he knows what he is doing. Every one of the ladies that work the front are pleasant & very professional no complaints at all I sure hate they have to work under him I know it’s annoying.

I have been calling the two branches in Lubbock for three hours on three phones. The phone goes dead within thirty five minutes! This has been going on for the last two weeks, I still have not spoken to anyone. I am taking my money and opening up a new account on Monday! This is pathetic and unprofessional!

I opened a personal account online in 5 minutes, received a card within one week, and the pin didn't work. After trying it again, I was locked out of my new account. I called the "24/7 customer support" number and was greeted by a robot. After listening to all the prompts to speak with a real agent, it turns out their human customer support is actually only normal business hours and no one was available. I went to cancel my account in this location. It was very nice inside. The man in front of me also came to fix a problem with his account. After I explained what happened, the lady said I must be confused with a business account. I told her this was a personal account and she said I put in too much money. What? You can't deposit too much money into an account! It was only $100. After closing it, I asked for a receipt that it was closed, and she told me they don't offer paper receipts. I'm glad I discovered this bank didn't work for me sooner rather than later.

While the staff here is nice and friendly, this branch is severely understaffed. I’ve had to visit this branch twice in the past two days, and it is clear to me that need someone with seniority to assist with the operations.

I don't like writing this under this location because the young lady as well as the manager has always been kind and professional. This is the location I frequent, thus I'm writing it here. BBVA Compass is flagrantly duplicitous and I believe corrupt! I made a cash deposit with the Tellers assurance that nothing is or had been pending on my account. I watched the account for a day and a half to make sure everything was moving properly. At 12 AM, 2 days later(date wise) the check bounced and the fee was taken out of the money that was to pay the check! When I called customer service I was informed that their is no grace period on checks. - I was like fine, when did the check try to clear? - I was told 2 hours before I made the cash deposit. - If there is no grace period why didn't it show then and why wasn't my Teller able to see it? - We don't take the money immediately. - So you're telling me, the check just happened to come in 2 hours before I made my deposit and noone knew until 2 days later!?! - Yes, and it doesn't matter that you put the money in 2 hours later, we still charge you. - I said that's fine, but if that's the case why didn't you charge me immediately instead of blind siding me 2 days later!?! If you bounce it immediately, charge me immediately! The chain reaction you caused could have been avoided! Now I have fees all over the place! - Well you have to talk to your Teller about that! There's nothing I can do! - If she couldn't see it either, why should it be on her? She's just as blind to your practices as I am! Why should she have to face angry customers because you have these undercover business practices? You're telling me, the check was bounced at 2pm and my deposit at 4:15 was too late, 2 days ago.... But she couldn't see it on her side either!?! WOW!!! - Yes, you have to go to your bank. - I have fees in my wife's account at another bank because of this! - There is nothing I can do. ------ Maybe I'm missing something, but in my opinion, something's not right with this company. They should be alot more transparent when they are handling peoples money. It's almost as if they go through and randomly charge whoever they can get away with charging. Sounds like they are pilfering from their customers. I will be closing my accounts with Compass.

This bank sucks. They are constantly changing your balance and taking money. Then when you call to do simple things as block payments or such they won't do it. And when they mess up your account balance they charge you fees. But when you prove it they still won't refund the fees. One day my account went from thousand to hundred dollars and back up all in five hours. This bank scams you. DO NOT USE IT.

We recently opened business accounts with Micheal and he was impressive. We have opened many accounts and felt more comfortable than ever. Micheal followed up and has made sure we are happy. We look forward to doing business with Micheal again.

Michael Allen is a true polished professional. Even though my issue wasn't resolved I don't know what more he could have done to help me and make me feel valued.
