PNC Bank Reviews

Jeffrey Homme1The incompetence of this bank is staggering. We've been trying to close out a mortgage for almost two months of a deceased parent, all required legal documentation has been provided but non of their systems speak to each other so they keep asking for the same information.

H B1The manager just drops down the value and the ambiance of the whole bank with her rudeness. She can’t be trusted to manage. Want to be insulted? Go to this bank! Want to be a loyal customer for decades & be treated rudely ? Go to This bank. Actually go and try it out for yourself. People like this manager don’t change.

gil rendon5My wife and I can not understand how this branch has received so many negative reviews. We could not disagree with them more. All the employees of this branch have always been exceedingly helpful, professional, and friendly every time we have been here. Which was a lot. Especially the bank manager, Stacey. We recently moved from the immediate area and have been going to the branches in Naperville. None of them have the level of customer service as Clarendon Hills. Not that there's anything wrong with them, it's just like going to the DMV, not very personal. Those of you that have this branch in your neighborhood are very lucky!

Ilija1I always do a bill-pay through my MB Financial bank to pay an employee who happens to have an account there it usually takes 2-3 business days for funds to enter into his account but for some reason the check was missing for 7 days. I went to branch by the fourth day to see what the issue was and the lady who sits on the front desk when you enter the bank told us that the money will be there the next day. Two days later there was still no money in employee account, even though funds had cleared from other financial institution. I returned to branch with employee, this time, the same person sent us to the banker but insisted on being present during discussion with banker. She hardly let the banker explain to me what was the hold up in transfer of funds, continuously interrupted her own colleague, and repetitively told me.. " Let me educate you". I've paid the same person so many times the same way and there was never a problem before but now there is and I'm being told that the check went to a different branch and they can't do nothing about that. Instead of assisting me by calling the other branch and checking out what really is going on with the missing check, the lady continued to talk down to us and refused to call the other PNC branch. After a short argument knowing that she is not right or being too lazy to call at the other branch and check out she told me that I am not a PNC Customer ( I don't have an Account there), even though employee who was present with me did, and that we should leave or else she would call the Police on me ??? I wasn't trying to rob the bank, simply understand why funds that I sent electronically to an employees account did not appear, even after days of money being cleared from senders account???? Worst customer service ever!

Cindy Leban5I too, can not believe bad reviews of this branch. Everyone, whether tellers, personal bankers, and especially the branch manager, have been completely professional, friendly, and willing to.help in any way they can. As a former bookeeper, yes there are guidelines and policies in place, that seem to you disgruntled Millinials as passe, but I personally like that, and for security reasons, its to protect customers. There is alot to be said about that.

Jennifer Sitton1Awful branch- and I’ve been a loyal PNC customer for many years. This location has employees that make it harder for you to get what you need. I called several weeks ago trying to line up a notary public for a Geico insurance claim document that my husband and I needed signed. My husband works long hours and is rarely home when the bank is open. We were told to come in this morning, however when we arrived, the bank refused to sign. They stated the document did not have proper wording that allowed a notary to sign even though the letter from Geico clearly stated that either a public notary or 2 witnesses should sign it. I mean this is a huge insurance company. I’d think they have their legal wording correct enough that thousands of others have completed this form and had it notarized successfully. What a gigantic waste of time and energy. I’m sure a different branch would have notarized it. Now to wait for that rare perfect alignment of when my husband and I can both go and the bank is open with a notary present.

Jeanie Kim5I don't understand these negative reviews! My family and I have had quite the ordeal after finishing a long distance move and dealing with our financial situation because of the aforementioned. The employees at this branch, especially Lany, have been nothing if not exceedingly helpful and professional. Working with the staff at PNC has made our transition that much easier and they will continue to have my business.

Steven1Costumer: Can I email the Doc to you? PNC: No, we only except Faxes. Really, a fax ? Who even owns one anymore. Horrible customer service with out dated banking processes and procedures. Good luck staying relative in today’s market. I will gladly take another bank loan with a higher APR then to go back to this bank.

Mike Milner1If you want a bank branch that is long on wide open spaces and nice offices, this one is for you. If you need service, especially on anything that might have been set up back when this was MidAmerica or National Cities, you're at the wrong place. First bank I've ever seen that makes you come in for an office visit to withdraw funds and then mails you a check that Chase won't even accept as a deposit. It takes special skills to screw up basic banking but the staff here can do that in spades, while being snide and insulting because you deal in sums less than 6 figures.

Nuzu Hyd1The bank manager (she) was rude, unprofessional and misbehaved. She has no interest in performing the job, which indicates in treating the customers. Sad!
