PFFCU - Police and Fire Federal Credit Union Reviews

chanel pompey1I can't stand this Branch. Everytime I come here the customer service is bad, it's always crowded even before the pandemic, they never have all there services available. I was just told I'm not able to withdraw more than $500 until after 4pm the next day. This makes absolutely no sense at all. I vowed not to come back a few years ago and I decided to give them a second chance but nothing has changed so I'll take my business to the Northeast Branch.

Lacy R1I came to this branch today looking for assistance with my account and I had thee most unfriendly encounter with the Branch Facilitator. She provided me with no help only a number and an attitude. If you need to go a Police and fire for business and need to sit down with Personal Banker, make sure to request someone other than Ms. Wood or go to another branch.

Shawnay Warren3I asked the teller I wanted to turn my check into cash and put the other money from my coins into my bank account, and I never received any cash back, even though I had more money from my check being put into my bank account. They took advantage of me and screwed me over. I will never trust banks, the environment, and humans again.

Alfonso Coley5I prefer PFFCU for many reasons related to optional banking terms/needs. Many Philly residents have warmed-up to PFFCU due to their reasonable service fees, and many options for those patrons wishing to boost their credit rating. I have enjoyed being a member of the Police and Fire Federal Credit Union since retiring from local banks that did not meet my expectations for financial security. PFFCU has the best options for families seeking ways to improve their way of life, in addition to planning for the future; whether it be securing a loan to purchase a new home, or looking into ways to invest safely and wisely. Pros: Professional and expedient customer service, even in the busiest times/peak hours – there is never a long wait to be served – to service patrons financial and banking needs. The uni-sex bathroom is a plus, especially for seniors and children who may have special needs. Reception areas for patrons banking needs are semi-private, but are set in a personal setting – to ensure customers have a certain amount of privacy while conducting their private business. The check-in kiosk is a plus for patrons to seek help on a one-to-one meeting with a financial specialist, which is a time-saver for anyone seeking in need of attention consultation. Cons: None to mention due to superior customer service.

Nunna Business1The only time I received superior customer service was when I opened my account. The assistant branch Mgr, Jarae LeSane is absolutely the worse unprofessional, loud, disrespectful, incompetent individual I have met. Not sure how she was promoted to her position. To think I was almost going to close my Wells Fargo account. Never!!! Lol. Even on their worst day, all the employees from Wells Fargo still surpass with good customer service. In all my 10 yrs with Wells Fargo, they never disrespected me. You can only withdraw $500 per day from the ATM. Very inconvenient. There were some days I couldn't even deposit money using the ATM. Just a very inconvenient bank. I'm going to look into another credit union because this one isn't for me.

Cynthia1My experience has been the worst and from reading the reviews of other valued members i see they have had issues as well. My mother past away and the end of June I called to see what I needed to do to get access to the funds in her account. This account has less 5han 4000.00 I was told that I either needed a letter of administration or letter of executor. Keep in mind my mother's account is under three thousand dollars. I schedule appointment with probate Court which was in August and paid for the letter of administration. I go back to the bank and I am told that I need a copy of death certificate and a copy of the funeral bill. Have no idea how much her funeral cost was a factor of her account. I needed to deposit a check in her account to be cashed so I did. I come back to the bank for the second time now I don't need the letter of administration but i had received another check and deposited in her account. I went back to the bank after the check cleared to close the account gave them copy of death certificate and funeral receipt and letter aof administration and was told I had to open up an estate account. Also that I did not need the letter of administration which I paid 281.00 for and if I just would have given them the death certificate and funeral receipts that would have been enough.. Since I gave it to them I need to open up an estate account and they want my social security number. I have to deposit 5 dollars of my money into this account get an ein number that they will fill out for you then they will put the money into the account. This is just the start I can go on.

Adam X2This bank ALWAYS has an issue. One day the ATM will be completely down. Another day the ATM is not taking deposits. May come in one day and the coin machine may not be working. Yet when I go to the location on Henry Avenue everything works. I guess location is everything. Please fix the ATM because I prefer not to enter the bank nor wait in the long line for a teller to make a simple deposit especially in the Covid-19 climate we’re currently in.

PAUL WILLIAMS5I’ve been going to the Wyncote branch on a regular basis, and I’m always impressed with the manner in which this particular branch is run: great friendly atmosphere, outstanding customer service and the competent provision/administration of general banking services. In addition, I want to give a special “shout-out” to customer service rep, Brittany Elwell, for the great job that she does. I highly recommend this branch for general banking services.
Response from the ownerThanks Paul for the review. We appreciate your membership!
