SHAWN ROSE1Some of the most incompetent people you’ve ever met. I’m already a member, and via my online portal submitted an application to open another checking account. Shortly after I got an email saying to needed to call PenFed to verify my identity for the America Checking. Someone called me this morning about “a request to update my phone number”. I informed the rep that wasn’t correct and why she was calling me. So then places me on hold to call another person. When she comes back on the phone she tells me she don’t see my application. I then read her the email and without missing a beat she says “are you sure that’s from PenFed”. Read her the email address and she said yea that is us but you didn’t submit for a checking. I gave up told her I’d stay with the bank I’m at now I’m done dealing with them. I use to have a checking and saving but they closed the checking about a year ago because I never used it. Every time I’d call them for something you can’t get an straight answer. They are very difficult to deal with and 9 times out of 10 they don’t know what they are doing. Bank anywhere except here. This guys are horrible!!!!

kamuelalee1Trying to get a local (808) Honolulu phone number for PenFed's Radford Drive branch of this credit union. What is the local number? There appears to be only PenFed's Mainland 1 (800) number which is ABSOLUTELY no help in Hawaii.

It saved me time to get the financial products that I was searching for and still saved money in the process. Peace of mind in times of financial uncertainty and economic situation.

mark Hafez1Vehicle title for a paid off auto loan was mailed to the wrong person. It took almost half a year to resolve the issue avd get it fixed. This year:waited on the phone for over an hour. The person couldn't resolve a simple issue. They promised to call back after speaking to a branch manager because she is in a meeting. No one called back 4 hours later. Decided to leave work and go to the branch. I had to wait for one hour. Absolutely mediocre service. Several people setting in their glass offices with no customers. One teller and 9 other customers are hopelessly waiting. This is probably the worst federal credit union in the whole country.

Charleston Victorino1always got the run around , unanswered emails, lied to by 2 different employees saying they'll contact me, never did. Its like i had to chase them to do business with them, 2 weeks wasted. Went next door to Navy fed and got it taken care of within a day. Waste time.
