I don't know if any review can properly give this place justice. To start, if you wish to shop, come alone. The shop itself is about the size of a utility closet. As other reviewers have said, not much to buy. It was awesome that they have a lawn mower for sale considering it's location. While we didn't have much to say the person behind the cluttered counter seemed pleasant, but not really much beyond that since they didn't have much of what I was looking for.

Listen folks this isn't Vegas or Pawn Stars.. it's a small local Plymouth landmark-been in business forever and I believe John took over after his 'Pops' passed. Never the less he, John, has been nothing but nice, professional and patient with me. Had pawned a item to pay some bills and struggled to make a payment or 2 on time he was always understanding. I appreciate that.. as for a market place yes it's small though if u check in often enough u may come across that hidden gem!!

Rudest service I've ever received anywhere. This guy must be used to dealing with drug addicts or something since that's how I was treated. Ghetto service. I have a feeling these positive reviews here are friends of his, or maybe this guy is bipolar? He has a serious attitude problem. Worst experience I've ever had in any business, ever. The absolute worst experience here! Arrived at the place with 3 items to get some extra Christmas cash. Door was locked with a sign saying to call his number. Called and an angry cantankerous guy opened up the door acting like I was bothering him. I showed him the first item which was a $600 motorcycle helmet. First words out of his mouth were "Don't want it" he said. Ok, I thought. Next I had a $500 brand new stereo system that I received as a gift two years ago. Trying to describe the unit he said "I don't want it and will not spend one more second talking about it". Wow, I thought. This guy is a something else. I asked if he's interested in old coins. He nodded. I took out a 1787 Cent that is worth about 260 dollars. I used to collect coins and know my stuff. He took a glance at it and said "Junk, it's worth about a buck'. I laughed and said I've had it for 30 years and know what it's worth. He replied "keep it for another 30 years then". I just shook my head and headed for the door. This guy is a real piece of s errr 'work'. As I was leaving I told him he's going to get a real good online review. He started yelling at me as I was walking down the street with my items. I'm sure if I would have looked back I would have gotten the finger so ignored this sorry excuse for a human being. Worst experience I've ever had in any establishment. Period!

Stopped in on a whim and didn't see anything that caught my eye at first glance. I changed my mind on an item the next day as I was flying out of town and he was very willing to go the extra mile and ship it to me across the country. The next time I'm in Plymouth I'll be back!

Got the best price for gold I wanted to sell here after going to a few places in the area. I'll probably just make this my first stop next time around. Very pleasant experience overall. I would recommend giving Peggy's a try.

I've been going to Peggy's Pawn Shop off and on for years, I always pawn my Wife's gold necklace when we are desperate and even though I was late a couple of times I never had a problem. I bought my Wife a beautiful Canon DSL camera and they gave me a great deal on it, also bought my daughter a laptop and a guitar amp, always good deals.

Bad service i was going to buy a tv and a few watches. He said tv was new in box when i looked for the remote scratches on tv and no remote. I asked him to take a little off he proceeded to get upset and a bit rude after that. learn to control yourself a little better.

I have been going to Peggys Pawn shop for over 10 years. There is allways some thing new to be discovered.By new I mean unique but vintage or antique. If looking for lost treasure s you have come to the right place. The shop has many one of a kind pieces of jewlery like [Rings, bracelets, necklaces, religious crosses etc.] There are also lots of used musical guitars and such. The occasional pieces of pottery and glass ware are changing hands quite often. There are many used tools in the shop also. Mr. Mcarthy[Peggys] does buy used items he has a full shop. Keep in mind when selling things the shop needs to make money as well as your self. Happy Shopping.

He changed his mind because the stuff you had that was "Valuable" Wasn't so "Valuable" and he didn't want to break your heart telling you your prized family air loom was junk. But if your gonna bad mouth him .. Did you go there in mid January around there?
