Rebecca Sidusky5I have been a part of this credit union for over 13 years! I remember when it was in the basement of Glens Falls Hospital! Always amazing service, quick and easy process to apply for a loan! I have been doing the holiday loans for years, just recently got my vehicle loan through them! Every person I have ever spoken to has been absolutely amazing! I recommend this credit union to everyone in my family!!!

Brandy Waite1This Credit Union is not what it used to be. I've been a member for about 10 years. I had several small personal loans to help me establish credit years ago, paid off on time with no missed payments. About a year ago I requested a personal loan and was told if I had direct deposit they would approve it. No thanks. I noticed recently when I transfer money between my checking and savings I am charged. Today I called about a replacement card and they're telling me it will cost $10. This place is more like TD Bank than a credit union.

Desiny Smith1I don't know who's lying for these people, because not too long ago they had very low ratings and now they are suddenly gone. I have been a member with Parks for more than six years, unfortunately. I have seen more tellers come and go than any other financial institution in the area--a sign that even their own employees are unhappy. I am finally done with this credit union and their horrendous customer service. Just within the past year I've had several instances where I needed to file a dispute within the past year, one being the result of an ATM error. In this instance I spoke to Christine who informed me that I would not be able to file a dispute over the phone, so I asked if she could email me the form since I could not make it there in person. She reluctantly took my email address and said she would email me the paperwork. As it neared the end of business day, I called back because I did not receive an email. Christine back-peddled and said that I did not need to come in because it was an "ATM withdrawal" and that she had already filed the dispute. (Okay? Were you going to call and let me know? At least email, so I'm not wondering what is going on. Mind you, the dispute was UNDER $25. I'll explain why this is relevant in just a moment). I asked if there was a case number I could use to track the progress or if there was any way to track it for that matter. She gave an abrupt no, that I would know if it was successful if the money was returned. I was given no time line. All in all, her attitude came across like she was suspicious of ME; like I had done something wrong, and very little effort was given to make me feel that she was doing all she could do on my behalf. I didn't feel that the credit union ever did everything in its power to protect my finances, which is important for any financial institution. Fast forward to today, there was a unauthorized charge to my account, and when asked if I could dispute it, Christine (again) said that they do not process any disputes under $25.... Excuse me? Apparently they do not manage their dispute process, but work with a third party to process the disputes and the company does not process anything under that. Mind you, the unauthorized charge was for $21.40--just over $3 short. This did not align with the other disputes that I had filed in the past, one being just two months ago for the ATM error. I finally informed her that I would be closing my account, because every time I needed them to help on my behalf, I could never get anything done. Christine replied in a sarcastic manner "that's fine" and proceeded to hang up the phone on me. Their way of doing business is completely nonsensical. Also, one final note.. The weekend before Christmas 12/22, they were absolutely empty while the credit union up the road was so busy you'd be lucky to find a park. That definitely says a lot about the caliber of services offered (completely sub-par). I'm so happy and relieved to finally be done with them. Now I can leave like the rest, and go to another place that treats their employees and customers alike with respect and kindness.
