  Dave was my loan officer for a home I closed on in late 2021. My real estate agent recommended him and for good reason. He's as good as it gets and I highly recommend him as well. He was accessible and quick in all of his replies. Super knowledgeable and his experience showed. A great asset to have in your corner to help ensure you get to your closing without a hitch. I hope to purchase another Adirondack property at some point in the (hopefully near) future and will no doubt reach out to Dave again when the time comes.

  We really enjoyed working with David. He was fast, honest, and responsive to our questions and many calls and texts. We’ve bought and sold several properties and Dave is among the best lenders we’ve worked with. We’ve referred him to others buying in the Adirondacks, and they’ve had good experiences with him, and will definitely use him again in the future.

  Dave at Paragon is great! He made the loan side of buying a house easy- I liked the simple & secure apps used for the process, and it seemed like he was working around the clock just for me even though the market is very hot in this area (at least at the time of our sale). I really appreciate the work he put in considering I was already dealing with selling a house without an agent and moving across the country. Thanks, Dave!

  I purchased a home about 5 years ago. At the beginning of the process, my realtor recommended that I work with David Abernathy from Paragon Home Loans. It turned out to be a great experience! He was very patient and responded to questions immediately. His attention to detail and knowledge of the industry and region made for an efficient home buying process. That's really hard to accomplish in such a rural area! I just closed on another home this year and the very first thing I did was call Dave to help. It was a pleasure working with him again!   I was a horrible customer. First time going through a real estate deal with no agent. David Abernethy was spectacular from start to finish. His communication was consistent. His explanations were thorough and accurate. My questions, inane to complex, were answered rapidly and completely. In the days and weeks of waiting for parts of a deal to come together David was never the delay, and kept on top of others, inside Paragon and out, to keep the ball rolling. Another benefit: the local connections for whom he offered recommendations or character references (insurance, inspection, etc) were diligent and efficient. Combine these critical traits with excellent rates...my wife and I would give David a sixth star if we could.

  In a decade where customer service and professionalism seems to be losing ground to faster and cheaper products Paragon and specifically Dave Abernathy remind me that those qualities still exist. My experience from start to finish was on point. Dave had my loan and documents processed as fast as I could provide. Paragon offers a great line of loan products to choose from. I specifically have a small business/rental income that makes loans challenging, it's very easy for banks and lenders to write me off unless they put the work in to see the true financial picture. Paragon excelled at this, they excelled at everything. Even the sellers Realtor asked me for Dave's contact after the sale was final so he could start to refer his clients after witnessing how quick and efficient they were. These are your people for the job!!!
